Forum Search Function

Just a question for admin...could we please have a better forum search facility? At present it only shows the 20 most recent posts on a word or phrase!

This was fine years ago but does anyone else find this frustrating when trying to locate old threads?

Surely it can't be to hard to have it like a Google search with all results showing over multiple pages

Central

I agree, as many of us are either here for longer and looking for old stuff or newer people coming on board.

It could perhaps be an extra feature for site supporters.

I maybe searching wrong.

But for example, if I'm in the Scotland forum and do a search for something that I know would be in the Scotland section then everything comes up on all forums sections making it harder to find what I'm looking for in the Scotland section.

Its the same in the wales Forum or London or the lounge.

Sure this facility could be much better if the work on it as they do with the Op idea. Easier to do together I think

Yeah I guessed that

But what do you think of the search facility as it is? I find it very limited and could do with improvement

Yes it could be improved, didn't realise it only held the last 20. I suppose there's only so much data they can hold

Ah but as Sophie has mentioned...it could be added as a supporters only feature and maybe the extra cash generated would pay for it

"How do I delete my searches on forum "

What do you mean? I don’t think they’re saved anywhere.

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

What is the punishment for bumping an old post?

But it saves starting a new one.

The search function is beyond basic.

Having to be the exact subject wording.

Would be amazing to have a post text body search...

But.. the issue I'm having is even if i know a post has a certain word in the subject, and search that word, the post doesn't come up.

(I can find the post by scrolling back through the forum)
