if there are moderators in room ...they are to monitor what is going on..i think if that is the case all mods should have thier cams on and show thier faces..to be a moderator that is one stipulation that should be pointed out to them.. |

just throwing my 2 pence in here... but one reason could be so people know mods are in the room and not AFK and not missing any directing etc on non-directing rooms. |

Surely it would be more of an incentive to behave properly if there "might" be a mod seeing it. If they were on cam, the directors would be able to see that "now's a good time to try my luck"
As a sidenote, what happens if a mod is playing on cam? Do they have to stop to sort out a transgression, or do we allow them to actually use the site once in a while? |

I'm a chat-mod, and sometimes on cam, sometimes not - when I am, it is never my face (always boobs). Does it make a difference if you get warned/banned by a pretty mod or an ugly mod?

But if the mod is typing, with a * after their name, that is more visible than a mod been on cam. Having said that, I quite often just sit and watch the room. Also, just cos someone is on cam, they could be on a different window/programme on the PC and still not fully paying attention. Also, mods may have children in the room. While it wont be a danger if the cam is off (and screen pointing away from their view) its not worth the risk having cam on with kids in the same room. So that means mods with kids, couldnt mod when kids were around.

another chat mod here who is bemused by this post.
As Steve says above, I have a small child at home during the day and sometimes come on while he is eating his lunch, watching telly or generally just playing. If my kids are in the house at all while I am in chat then my cam is off. |

Its the Mods choice if they want to put on there Cam.What is annoying to me is when the Mod is on Cam fast asleep.And has his Girlfriend(not a Mod)do his Job for him.  |

We are mods and have had a fumble on cam... only in the directin rooms,its bad enuff modding a non directin room with out having to stop playing to ban some one who has directed you lol  |

Would be good to have a list of mods so we know whose who I know you have the little * attached to profile but newbies may not. Would be better if you stood out a little. |

I do think that there should be a list somewhere on the site like a hotlist that shows who are mods and if they are in chat - sometimes when things get out of hand in the general rooms it takes me ages to trawl the rooms only to find there are no mods in at all. And yes, I do know that mods are human and have lives but sometimes I spend more time reporting than chatting so to know where they are roughly or simply who they are would be a help.  |
