Hi guys,
To help both ladies and guys on here could you make a "thanks but no thanks" reply button on mail. At least then it'll make the site a bit more sufferanle for single guys not getting responses and ladies/couples a quick way to reply and delete messages??? |

There have been quite a few threads on this subject, have a search of the forum hun.
I'd say a deleted message with no reply is a no thanks. |

Yeah I get that a delete with no reply is that but for guys looking to even get a chat is so difficult. Why not keep a bit of hope there for us?? Lol |

"Why not keep a bit of hope there for us?? Lol"
But that might be the exact reason why many people dont reply |

I'll just say that most people read the profile before the message and if its non existant and holds no appeal then you'll probably not get a reply. Here in lies the secret to not being ignored. |

Replying to a message can override any future mail filters....I think
IE if they reply then block all single male mails..you can still mail...same as a friend add overrides mail filters....
I think.... |

How is a “thanks but no thanks” button gonna give you hope? |

But to be fair. A generated no thanks would be the same thing. There would still be no hope. It means that someone has actually looked at your profile or wasn't interested in your message and pushed a button to make their intentions even clearer that they're not interested . |

Should just get the hint when you get no reply or the message is deleted after its read. They are clearly not interested and you have no reason to message them again. No need for a button, just common sense. |

When I am meeting I will only chat to guys I am attracted to, or that I am never likely to meet due to distance, as I find just talking leads to the assumption that I am interested in playing...if we all do this then your idea wouldn't make a blind bit of difference IMO |

If fab removed the Sent Messages box completely, no one would know if a message was read, deleted or otherwise.
If you get a reply, your message was read. If you interest someone, they will message. Why get all stalkerish over your sent messages? |

I think they should get rid of it, this causes so much angst for some. |

I can see both sides of the argument. I always add to messages "feel free to reply even if its a thanks but no thanks". Then i know not to message again in the distant future. But on the other side i can only image how many messages couples and single women must get. So to reply to all mist be a nightmare. |

Answering with a no thanks opens up a whole new window for some.. they carry on messaging with.. why not?
Then you get the name calling and YOU get blocked before you can block them haha |

Perhaps once the no reply button has been pressed, it generates a month long block, for messaging that profile again. Allows for a cooling off period, so abuse can't be sent, because someone said no thanks |

Here is an answer from Admin from the following thread.
https://www.fabswingers.com/forum/feedback/696811#message_15150621
"We've said it before but we'll say it again. We've had a thanks but no thanks button on other sites and it didn't produce anything positive.
It turns out that some people don't like rejection no matter how the message is delivered.
No reply means not interested.
Admin x" |
