thread removals

I moderate on many forums... would it not be possible to just edit posts.. as sometimes its maybe one word or a link thats the problem..

What we do is edit it and send the member a message to just explain.. or at times a note on the message itself.

Just an idea.

Im not sure it is actually possibly as this isnt an HTML forum like most forums out there.

Apart from that, it could potentially take a lot longer to read every single thread to get the jist of something to then delete the offending words (if its an abuse etc issue). Maybe just quicker to delete the whole post and quoted posts or indeed the thread if its gone pear shaped.

I moderate a forum on a totally non FAB related site (and they would freak if they knew I was on here lol)...

We operate the same as FAB...delete posts or threads outright....sometimes it looks odd but it is easier to do on that kind of forum.
