Would it be plausible to have a distance filter?

I'm a little tired of getting messages from people hundreds of miles away looking for cam/phone sex.

Well we have age filters etc. It seems like an obvious option to me and you!

"They would just change their postcode to message you."

Those of us who travel would not be able to find people in locations we are travelling to with filters like that.

Or we would just move our postcode to get round it.

Good luck guessing my postcode!! Seems a lot of hassle just to send a message!

It could also be based on the gps distance, if they are out of your required distance they can't message.

Maybe people don't want to meet others who are just passing through. I actually see it quite a bit on people's profiles.

"I'm in your area next Thursday, faf"? No thank you.

Lol exactly this. If I wanted a passing through town cowboy , id have that written on my profile!

Why can't those types of guys just respect the profiles wishes of the women they find on Here? That's not difficult! Instead of accepting they aren't everyone up of tea , their answer is to find some trick to get around the ladies filters! Deceiving a lady into bed says alot about those types.

I've had over a dozen messages today from men, who are going to be in my area, this weekend/next week & looking for a NSA hook up.

Have politely asked them all to reread my profile.

Am thinking it's about time my filters went back on

Maybe I phrased that wrong.

As a "Cowboy", work dictates where I am. Sometimes it is nice to have a social with people in the area I am in.

For me, I like to build a rapport with people I want to socialise with and am absolutely honest in warning them that I am in Taytoland (google it, its real).

I also say that I am likely to be in the area. If a profile states no travelling cowboys, I don't message.

A lot of profiles do not say no twearers, no ale drinkers, no nomads, etc. I know I'm practically no-one's cup of tea but will not try to deliberately circumnavigate someone's filters.

Whilst we are at it, better get the police on to those bi guys who say straight on their profile, straight guys who say bi on their profile, guys who say they are a couple on their profile, non smokers who smoke etc etc. Moving postcodes is hardly a hanging offence?

Or maybe just block men from messaging anyone first and let the couples and women pick who they want

Glasgow

I asked for this years ago....

Admin did reply on this thread that it was on their 'to do list'

Hopefully it's near the top of that list now!
