Who thinks it would be a good idea to have an API call from each photo to tineye (photo checking service/reverse photo search) whereby it uploads and checks to see if it is used elsewhere in the internet?
May help to reduce the number of fake photos etc ??

No I don't think so for the following reasons
1) I use my photos elsewhere on other sites and in adds too, so my pics would be banned.
2) There would be a cost involved to site owners making it unfeasible as Fab is free to join with very low subs for those who do pay.

Individuals may already download your photo and check them with tineye to ensure you are not a spammer or fake.
Once you upload a photo you have no physical control over it other than what the site provides. If its public..its public.
I understand the privacy concerns too. The only way is to ha e the site admins themselves perform a check on photos :/
Or leave it at status quo and suffer the fakes and spammers as we currently do.
Was worth exploring though

So anyone who's been unlucky enough to have their genuine pictures copied by other people finds they can't use them here anymore and suffers even more... |

"Pic mods already perform a check on pics they suspect of being fake"
Unfortunately pic mods are not infallible as I’ve had many pics refused as being fake when they clearly were not. I have now stopped posting. |
