New mailbox update Fri 15th Sept

We've updated the new grouped mailbox
There's now a thread delete option when viewing a message/thread which will delete all messages in that thread in one click
Sent images also now show in the thread
We have more improvements to come, this is still a work in progress

Is it feasible to implement a feature to have a 'Friends mail' grouping/box? They would be a priority at the top or at least separate from the masses. Especially useful for couples/women who get swamped mailboxes. |

We keep removing them because you're posting in the wrong thread. If you start a new post explaining your problem, someone will be able to assist you

Hi ya, so I tried the new mailbox but it seemed to only show 2 wks ago to present when i tried it (i was unaware this was a glitch didnt check here my bad sorry) so i converted back to old as it was relevant(er) at that point... however now i see this should have been fixed however i dont know how to go about trying this new updated unglitchy new new mailbox as it no longer gives me option to try the new mailbox feature (which is how i changed to the old new glitchy mailbox when i first attempted trying it) and since i went back to the old old from the glitchy new i have no option to switch to try the new new unglitchy one help please
where do i go to try this now its been updated please? |

Maybe it's because we've previously chosen to use the "new mailbox" when the question was there near the top we haven't seen even one of the things that have been talked about since the "New Mailbox Features" have been talked about. Not one nor do we have any choices to return to the "old style mailbox" . . .
. . . if there ever was any REAL difference?   |

Hi, we have noticed that if a message is particularly long, half of it disappears in the history of a grouped message. We are attending a party Saturday night and was looking back over the messages for the directions and instructions. However cos it was such a long message half of it didn't show up. The only way we could get to see the whole message is by going back to the old style message box and looking at the individual message. Maybe this ought to be looked at. |

Really good and is better organised so we can keep track of longer or older conversations
Also makes it a bit easier to catch up on messages that one of us has already read |

Would be nice to see sent messages that are unread separately
Also on the list of messages even if we have replied it doesn't show in the preview
Otherwise an improvement as can see more messages |

I was using the new mailbox so I cud delete sum messages, I turned it off and went back to the old feature. Now I want to switch the new mailbox back on but I no longer have that option at the top of my mailbox messages.. Can sumone please help me as I prefer the set out of the new mailbox features xx |

This is all working well for us so far, but I'll keep everyone posted in here.
As for the update itself, it's a godsend. So much easier to keep track. I just hope clearing the sent box doesn't remove anything we've said from the chats, and that the chats can't be deleted due to age. Can anyone explain the limitations on this? |

Great update and much appreciated!
Is there any chance you could extend the number of threads visible in the mailbox?
The current mailbox will show some 60 threads before any subsequent threads drop off the page meaning you can’t get to some of those older conversations without deleting the current ones. Many thanks!

Good idea . Except our mailbox was empty to do it. overall Fab is great. We recommend it to our lifestyle friends and even vanilla friends to turn them to the GOOD side . The out of date monogamy life SHOULD be eXXXtinct !!!! |

Great improvement, thanks! Not sure if this has been previously mentioned but it would also be great if you view someone’s profile and see that you have messaged each other in the past, to be able to view the message history without first having to send a new message |

THANKS, I've been hoping for this since I joined fab several years ago!! Makes so much difference, much easier to keep track of people / convos?
Another suggestion would be if you could filter convos in different ways such as date received, who's online, distance, not yet replied to etc. |

Love it, small bug I think though. Tried to delete a thread from the main message page and it wouldn't. We had just blocked the user perhaps that affected it, had to switch to old msgs to del and turn new back on after. |

I love It apart from the fact that my inbox is completely empty in a last stitch attempt to clear the fact it tells me I have 1 new message in my inbox even if all have been read.... it its still there with 1 unread.... very frustrating with my ocd lol |

Yay! So pleased to find this. I've always thought it was pretty outdated to have every message separately.
Can anyone explain what a little two at the side of the message in the menu means? I thought it may mean two unread messages from the person, but I can only see one when I go in and the two is still there.
Also, to remove photos in a thread do you still have to go in via the sent page? |

"Ive found a design flaw. If you want to save just one msg from a thread, eg to save a msg with their face pics, you cant.It just saves the thread, no pics. "
Although you can still save the single message from the desktop site.

I noticed a while back that if the other user deletes the messages you send out, they can be deleted from your thread.
My guess is that they're storing your sent messages not in your own outbox, but in the other person's inbox. It's as though you don't both have copies.
Also, chats older than a certain point don't seem to be visible in the new threads. I have no idea why this is. |
