Im getting rather fed up with out of blue friends requests, not just from new profiles that ive no interest in,but also established profiles of those who i am.
I may be interested in the same things, but that doesnt make it alright to receive a friends request when they cant be bothered to message first.
As site says its not rude to receive a message and not reply to it,but it is rude to just send random friends adds
So would anyone else like to see a filter where friends requests can only be sent once both profiles have exchanged atleast one message from the other ? |

Yes it sounds like a good idea to me. I don't like getting friends requests from people miles away where a meet is never going to happen. Mostly they just want to look at private pictures. XXX |

I agree - to me a random Friends request just means that they want to look at my private pics - and that's just plain bad manners.
So I always - Always - Block whoever sends them, and I warn on my Profile that I will do that - but still they try...

"Some people would be flattered getting friends request and some people need to get over themselves. "
We're flattered when we get nice messages from someone who's bothered to read out profile but I guess you're flattered by complete strangers wanting to see your private pics. Each to his/her own I'd say, what's it got to do with 'getting over ourselves?' |

As this is something that some people don't mind
and there is a simple solution of bulk delete requests ( and you yourself send to whom you want to be friends with)
I'm not sure it's a good use if time to change this...
Surely there's other things higher on the site change wish list? |

Yes,i do send friends adds, but only once i have conversed a few times and its someone i wish to stay in contact with. Not those who send random requests hoping to see so saucy pictures as titillation. |
