Far be it for a single male to raise a genuine issue but can there no be put in place via the search system a timescale for verifications ?
For example and this goes for everyone on here, You put in within your requirements from a what you want in meeting people in the search engine and that brings back say 150 profiles that fit those requrements .
So you try and bring that number down a little better by bringing the distance down from 20 miles to 10 miles = 115 profiles,
Ok down a bit more you rule out all those that cant accom = 85 profiles
Down again all those that have no profile pictures = great you've finally got it down to a reasonable number of 65 !
You begin going through the listed profiles only to find that of those 65 profiles some haven't been verified in up to 8 years.
Now having been doing this for some 25+ years through our couples profile and as a single the cynic in me thinks .. If that profile hasn't been verified in that amount of time then they either probably aren't actually meeting any more and only using the site like a swingers facebook or the couple are no longer together and its one half of the couples profiles still keeping it going and the partner thinks its all been shut down years previously.
Now before everyone chips in with the "this site is used not only for meets etc" I understand that but in the back of the genuine people who want to meet heads you cant tell me if you come across a profile like this you even bother to wink or mail it ?
So my thinking is can it be that when you are looking for profiles you can add a "verified within 1 year" type thing ? |
