Would it not be a good idea to have a function where you can completely block a section that you don't want any contact with. We know messages can be blocked but why not extend that to blocking the same people from being able to view you in the first place? |

You mean like message filters?
You can't block people from viewing you (except with a bespoke block), but what's the harm? You won't catch anything nasty from them looking and if you set up your filters they can't message you anyway. |

The idea is to enable profiles to be directed towards the profiles they maybe more interested in. I don't see the need for the catching something nasty stuff, quite childish really. |

It means you gave total control over your own searches and what you show people.
As long as you set your message filters to eliminate those you don't want contacting you
Surely it's the other persons choice if they search and do or do not use filters??
Or you search only those you do NOT want and block them .. that way even if they don't filter you won't show up and feel happier |
