The point is that if we could opt out with an automated message to that end the people who send them indiscriminately might just decide that it's not worth it. That's exactly how it works on another site we're on. Like I said, it's not a big issue and we don't respond to them so it's just a minor annoyance but that's what this forum is for. |

We'd find it useful if, when we winked people, it said they don't accept winks. Some people don't view them but don't say so on their profile.

Additional thought:
We have no doubt that people might wink people they like, but aren't sure if the winkee would be interested. Testing the waters.
If the winkee doesn't view winks they'll never know that someone is interested but unsure if it will be reciprocated. With a wink filter, they'll be less uncertainty about whether people fancy people back.
We know what we mean! Hope others understand what were ham-fistedly saying! |
