I agree, I don't particularly want people I'm not interested in looking at my photos - which sadly is why as many aren't shown as I'd like.
Also would like a distance block as I'm only interested in local men I'm actually likely to meeting the real world, not someone umpteen miles away.
And ... A block on married men, my profile says no married men but they keep messaging and don't disclose its until 50 messages in, at the meet or shortly before. Very annoying.
Perhaps we could be able to give a negative verification for those who don't show or aren't who they say they are!
Sorry for the rant!! |

A block on married men would be counter productive, they'd just lie to get around it. Like if you blocked smokers for example, they'd be even more inclined to lie to get around the block more so than if there wasn't one. |

"Don't think negative verification is fair. Just like name and shame.... Who can prove what you've said is true"
Definitely not fair. There are so many sad bitter people on here that would use it to get back at you for something so simple as a polite no thanks it would get out of hand. |

"I would like to be able to hide my profile from people I don't want to hear from, like unverified profiles, men, etc. "
On your main account page, look for 'Message Filters' - untick all the ones you want to block:- gender, unverified, no pictures, etc - then they can't contact you.
'Edit Account' tab, has the settings for age range and smoking.
'Privacy' tab lets you browse by stealth and turn off photo fabbing so 'the wrong kind of people' don't accidentally fab your pics
Unfortunately, there's no automatic filter for stupidity, liars, or people who don't read profiles. |

True, though a filter would assist in blocking the ones that are married and respect my boundaries but maybe just haven't read my profile

"Don't think negative verification is fair. Just like name and shame.... Who can prove what you've said is true"
Same applies to positive verifications. Often they bare no relevant to the person when a meet happens.
What happens when we experience problems? I agreed to a no contact social with someone to chat about movies that were both interested in. As I got back to the car he grabbed my tits then my ass. I was very very upset by this as I'd made it clear in the meet and before in messages that I was not interested in anything other than a conversation.
There's no facility to warn others against men like that.
Then again, it's so easy for people to just delete the free profile and set up another free one - getting people from historic meets to verify them as genuine again |

We interpret this thread as, "As people fill their profiles in, I would like my profile hidden from them if they're ........"
So it's just a case of saying, "Not keen on smokers" or "TV's" or "Bi" etc.. and rather than go through the palava of being viewed, messaged, rejected etc.. the OP just wishes to be hidden from those that don't match his preference.
Seems a plausible request/option. |

If you set up your mail filters, then only those who match the filters can message or friend request you. Invite friend requests in your profike from anyone who can message you, and put your more personal pics in your 'friends only' album.
I worked it like that for a number of years, but recently had a purge and now just friend people I've met or am interested in meeting. |
