Hi there
Given one of the advantages of being a site supporter (which I have been for a number of years) is being able to see who has been looking at my profile, I don't understand why the site is now offering people the option to hide their presence if they look at someone?
It seems that an increasing number of people are using this facility which removes one of the big reasons I (and I'm sure many others) pay money as a supporter. But it also reduces the functionality of the site versus how it used to be. If someone can look at a profile (ie they're not blocked) it only seems fair that they leave a footprint so the owner o the profile can see they've been there.
In addition this privacy function increases the likelihood of people being "stalked" or monitored without knowing that it's happening. Can this option be removed so everyone can have the transparency we have had in the past please?
Thanks |

Just a suggestion, as this option has always been there and we can see the OPs point, could we not have the option for those who don't want people to view privately to opt out?
So basically if you are hidden and click on a profile that has opted out of being viewed that way, you have the option to continue and leave your mark/footprint, or back out. Best of both worlds solution maybe? |

OP why do you need to know who has looked? If they looked and liked what they saw they would message or wink you.
The reason I don't show up on who looked is because every time I looked at a single male profile they thought it was an invitation to contact me. Dealing with dozens of messages saying "you looked at me, wanna meet?" gets rather boring and time consuming. |

I agree with this. Sometimes I may want to look at a profile for some other reason than a 'meet.' They may have contributed something to the forum which has sparked my curiosity. I don't want a single male profile, for instance, to know that I have looked at them, 'cos I don't want to encourage 'interest.' I like the functionality. |

I always had who looked at me switched off.
However I don't think it works. When I look at people 90 percent of the time suddenly they have looked back at me.
I'm sure they still see I've lived at them and they are just looking back. |

Been here about eight years and I don't remember a time where you didn't have the stealth option. From a female point of view if I'm seen looking at a man's profile I get messages from them thinking I looked so therefore I want to meet. I don't concern myself about who has or hasn't looked at my profile. I'm too busy with the people who contact me without bothering to read it |

We have noticed the same but have also spotted that if somebody in stealth mode looks at us who is local then the local news feed shows them as having view our profile. |

We actually think this is a fantastic idea.
It would be a good enough tool for us be a paid up site supporter again. |
