I think it would be a great idea to have your veri's be something you could give access to on a case by case basis.
For example, if you've been chatting to someone and you think them seeing your veris might give them a better insight, you can choose to share them specifically with that person, or even just have an "available to friends" option in the verification settings.
Anyone with me in this? |

That would be a great idea. We don't publicly show ours all the time. But will open them up for somebody to see if we are intending arranging something with them for a short time.
Be good to allow a selected person/people to see our verifications without doing this. |

It would be a good idea yes.
But also think the verification summary should be permanently displayed and not hideable by anyone. In real terms it gives more indication of someone's level of activity and who with, as you can choose which written verifications to display and who from.
In particular it would give the fabstraights no way to hide, and those operating on a green tick from one verification 3 years ago. |

I don't think you should be forced to show who you've been meeting up with at all. But to counter the green tick from yonks ago, anyone who's not had a new veri in 12 months should go back to unverified. It's a much better way of filtering active members from non active ones. |

Absolutely fantastic suggestion.
I don't want to show my veri's or my summary. I would like to be able to show them to certain people, maybe like the photos are? Public, friends, private |

Dont think that the compulsory display of the summary gives anything away except when you were last verified. No who you met, and not what went on.
But it does display wether you have physical meetings instead of just webcam. That's useful to know. We've been contacted by people with nothing but cam verifications angling for a physical meet, and think the likelihood of them ever making the leap from cam fantasy to reality is slim. So to see that up front would be good, without seeing actual the substance of the verifications.
Then as I mentioned earlier, the fabstraights. We all know they hide their verifications from men and TV/TS, and change their sexuality depending on who they message. If the summary was always on display then you have that element of deception taken away.
Fail to see how that could be a bad thing for making informed choices.

Or maybe show percentages.
Couples 50%,
Women 25%,
Men 20%,
TV/TS 10%
Says all it needs today without giving away numbers.
Also instead of joined over a year ago, put the actual length of time. 50 veris in a year is a lot to some people but over 5yrs is nothing really. |

I don't think it should ever say the type of people you've met publicly. You may have met a TV at a club and found them nice to chat to, you may have a veri from a guy for the same reason.
It should say
Verified by:
Webcam - 12
Met in person - 6
As for fab straights, yes they should probably be honest, but there are thousands of people who aren't comfortable being OUT. I think we should respect that, and that if it's a problem for you specifically, and they have nothing to hide, they can choose to show you all their veris.
People should be able to hide veri's, as it's not a report on your character, that should be what the report button is for.

Never understand why so many are so hung up on verifications. Who cares? Means absolutely nothing. I've met plenty socially in the last year but don't have a verification from any of them. I never ask. So many of you are obsessed and think it's a competition. It's about meeting people not getting a review. |

Simple block them and the veri disappears !!

It now looks like I've had more meets than I have, so I've hidden that too.

A cheat would be to hide your verifications then when you want to show some to somebody go into verifications take a screenshot of the bit you want to show and send it by mail |

This shouldn't need to be a long-winded workaround though. If the privacy settings were more customisable, it would make the entire process better, but allow people who don't care too much to keep their current setups. |

It's nothing to do with it being a competition, it's about compatibility and honesty
If someone has ten veris and they're not public, you can't see who's verified them, and they may have met people you've met and didn't get on with at all, or with people you know in real life and would rather avoid them knowing you swing, and multitude of other potential reasons.
If you can see 6 veris out of a summary of 20, and they're all from the same person/couple, it's likely that the person you're talking to is hiding something. I think we have every veri visible, unless the user has been deleted or it's a redundant veri. If asked, I'd love the opportunity to ease someones concerns by simply showing them everything, without having to show it to everyone.
