Dear powers at be with Fab, I'm sue I'm not the only one that thinks the aesthetic look of this site is absolutely shocking...in a 1990s way it does it's job....
If you fancy a modern sexier rebrand, let me know. I'm very reasonable..if you don't think you need it, fair enough...but ask yourself a gold embossed squished serif font???? |

Being a designer I was not impressed either, but the functionality is better than any other site and that's the most important thing of all.
It'd be nice to have better design, but not at the expense of functionality. |

"The mobile site is descent and clean. I kind of get lost when I use the desktop version"
Agreed, the desktop site isn't too user friendly but from what I gather most people use the mobile site anyway, and that works just great! |

I like basic. Whenever anything I use updates, or upgrades, it get more complicated to use. My Windows phone is seriously pissing me off enough to make me consider an IPhone. That's something I never thought I would hear myself say.
Maybe a Samsung. |

Notifications for the forum, bigger photos, maybe an improved look... It does need it to be honest. Especially the notifications
No need to reply to this anyone. Chances are I wouldn't see it anyway |

Desktop version is horrendous but mobile site is user friendly enough, id rather have a simple, functional site easy to navigate than a wonderful fancy site that can't be navigated and takes months to load because of all the scripting and fancy graphics - it ain't broke so I beg you fab don't change it! |

"The mobile site is descent and clean. I kind of get lost when I use the desktop version"
Agreed. On first look the mobile site probably looks quite an old style with no frills but the menus are presented very efficiently, quick to navigate between and it is a lot better laid out than the confusing desktop site. |

I like art, I like poetry and I like pretty things,
I like sex more! the site works and that is simple fact. I've used both Web and mobile versions over the years.
I suppose you could pretty it up and make it look more like aff and the like. But then would you attract some of those pretentious arse holes along for the ride.
This site costs 5 quid for a months gold membership or 50 days at silver.
That ladies and gentlemen is a bargain compared to similar sites.
Just my opinion but we are all entitled to such

"eh? works just fine...if it aint broke, who gives a hoot about font "
This is exactly how companies end up failing to innovate and lose customers. Sure there are always die hard fans, but there is a shit ton of stuff this site could do to up it's game. |

Yeah ok it looks dated, and yes there are other far more aesthetically pleasing sites available for swingers but we've found Fab much simpler to navigate and it's free or very cheap compared to pretty expensive. I'll make do ta. |

I think the whole point of it's success is the wildly simple design.

"I would prioritize functionality over appearance.
Can we focus on a new mail system before we start playing around with font type? "
No, I want a facility to make a private events mail list that you can mail in one go, rather than copy n paste over 120 times! |

"Desktop is my preference - hate the mobile one.
but there again, I use a plug-in mouse on a laptop lol"
Me too but I use both as have different functions, there are things that could make the site work better in fact I'd say some functionalities have gone downhill in the last 7 years especially with message history's. |

Its far better and uncluttered than most in our opinion. Not modern, but is that a bad thing? Who cares how it looks, it works great.
"Modern" web design has become over complicated and horrible looking in our opinion. |

it works so why change it? Plus, who says you'd do a better job? Anyways, doesn't fashion come back around, so this site as you say from the 90's will be in sometime and your site if you got to redesign it would be old and outdated lol |

The design is perfectly fine.
The functionality could be improved - a better mailbox so that all messages from a user remain in the same username thread (instead of the subject header thread)
Better breakup of the country regions - e.g. Norwich is really East not East Midland - perhaps could be made of the GPS. Allowing international countries settings
Message filters so that smokers can't message you
Etc etc |

Lol. The “I know it’s shit but it’s the least shit of all the shit sites” excuse :P Progress is great haha.
This is ugly as fuck but more than that, it’s functionality is slow as hell. So many things I could suggest and design around to make the UX here better. But whatever. This is my last supporter time block anyway. Been supporting a fair bit and now I’m letting this run out and not doing it again. The site just seems stagnant and reeks of tack.
Still, the forums are interesting |

PleSe stop defending the site’s look. The redesign this site needs is not because of its look. If we are just focused on the look, that’s not the design, that’s the visual styling. Very different thing. |

We push everything through here, so people don't have to give any other details, so prefer that functionality on here too. |

I'm not sure I understand why people moan about it being difficult to navigate the desktop site, there are two menus, the one down the left is for your profile, the one across the top accesses the site functions....I'm no techno whizz but it seems simple enough to me lol? |

"as an example of poor functionality...try deleting 100 photos one at a bloody time (no multi-select)"
why would you need 100 photos, we do ok with a few.
As to the site needing an update works fine for us, a keyword search would be nice but hay, we do fine. |

So many people who are making excuses for the poor quality of the site. It’s clunky and unintuitive as well as an awful look. But design is not just how it looks. I guarantee I could design a better, cleaner set f user flows in an evening. |

Maybe a few minor development tweaks over time may be needed but I reckon the layout and site is great . I wouldn't waste money doing anything major to change for the sake of it.... |

The look doesn't seem important, but when you try to keep the current site design, you lick yourself in to it's current functionality too. Think of it this way, you don't only paint the walls when you decorate a room do you? You factor in new shelves, a new wall mount for the TV, maybe built in wardrobes. New functions might not look right in the sites design, not just saying to change the colours and fonts. |
