some people might not want to be followed from room to room
people would then be able to see what room your in if they added you to a hotlist (which people added to a hotlist do not have to accept or consent too)
if you wanted specifically to chat with someone why not send a message asking what room they are in? |

Is it really that hard? In old chat, you can look to see who's in each room before you join. In new chat - well 7 out of the 17 rooms are geographical so surely their location will narrow that down, after that, start with the rooms with the least number of people in them and work your way through them or send the person a message asking what room their in. |

I think, not to sure if it was on this site but you used to be able to click the chat bubble (or whatever the other site used to indicate a user was in chat) and it would take you straight to the room that they were in.
