I was wondering if admin have considered making changes to the club review system.
Myself and others have noticed that a member is publishing malicious reviews about a certain club from which I understand they have been banned from for about a year. These false, malicious reviews are being reported and removed but it doesn't stop them being seen, and maybe harming the club's reputation.
It may not be possible to ban individual members from making these malicious reviews so I have another suggestion. Would it be possible to restrict members to one review per club, per month? That way it would reduce the workload for admin when these malicious reviews get posted less often and people inevitably report them. |

Not sure who and which club you mean. But frequently people moan in forums that their reviews are deleted for being negative.
Surely a good all round response is okay? Most the clubs have very favourable reviews and I'm sure most folk are intelligent enough to read a good amount of reviews and also go along to see for themselves. |

I would say that if someone has been banned they should maybe be blocked from leaving revues full stop.
I also don't agree with anonymous revues as they could even be left by employees of said clubs, unlikely but possible.

Trouble is with this is I know of one club who's owner will lie and deny people have attended the club in order to get a negative review removed. Quite often negative reviewers receive a torrent of abuse from club regulars. The review system is flawed but still useful |

Most reviews are useless anyway, they talk about the amount of people who were there on the night and if the reviewer got shagged.
I want to know about facilities, cleanliness, quirks, staff, parking, that sort of thing although I read one review and actually spoke to the person who wrote it and what she described and what the club has are two utterly different things! She insisted there wasn't a shower in a particular spot when there clearly is. |

"The other side of the coin is the reviews left by people who clearly "work" at the club. ... leave reviews as if they are a member or an attendee ..... false review in my eyes "
Club reviews are generally just nonsense, "best club in the area, fantastic packed night" etc etc written by helpers/workers/supporters of the mentioned club.
The mark of a good club is if you go on a quiet night, don't play with anyone and still have a nice time and we've only ever found one like that. |

I think bad reviews should be left alone and not deleted. The only thing I would change is that you couldn't keep reviewing the same club again and again.
A club can seem too good to be true in my eyes and it's good to see both sides. |

I think staff should not be allowed to put reviews on for the club they work at. It happens alot in the NW and frankly it's cringey. Alot of people don't realise these people are employed by the club, however if you do know then why is the club relying on staff to put up positive reviews? That has a negative affect for me. Yes, these staff may 'socialise' there but the reviews never say they are staff. |

This was a bugbear of ours aswell and it gives a false image of the club in question afterall who isn't going to say their club is the best when they are earning money from it. |

Why should Clubs be any different to Hotels/Restaurants etc that are reviewed on Trip Advisor ? Everyone knows some good reviews will be posted by family and friends and some bad reviews by rival business owners ,disgruntled ex staff and malicious customers . Everyone just factors this into their decisions and proceeds according to their instincts. |
