It would be good to get alerts for active threads that we are posting to. Just an idea x

Do you mean for any new posts to a thread you have contributed to?

Some regular forumites would be getting updates every few seconds! Horrendous.....

You could be asked wether you wanted to receive alerts from the thread you posted to.

That would be a good compromise, rather like opting in to the messages alerts on mobile

There is a menu choice where you can view recent threads you have posted to. It does the same thing if you click on it, surely
