This suggestion comes up about once a week. The usual reasons against are a) bandwidth/storage costs, b) the need for moderators to approve each video to make sure it doesn't breach the new porn laws and c) just like dick-pics, the majority of videos would be of men showing their pride-and-joy, probably in action. |

Ya'll are wrong about videos. Those videos should be part of the profile. That's how it's working on another sites. There are some rules anyway.
1. On that video must be owner of the account.
2. Can't break laws on particular country.
3. Only VIP can watch it
4. Owner of video has options who can watch it. (only verified, users with galleries or videos, etc.

As usual a lot of myths and falsehoods promoted by the mysterious Anti Video league...
Videos are an essential feature of websites nowadays.
A paying members fiver a month gives the website massive profit, allowing a paying member to post a couple of short low resolution compressed video clips is but little to ask of this website.... |

This is a contact site. So like-minded folks can link up with others. The tools provided by the Site Admin/Owners assist that communication.
If Admin/Owners wanted to run a Porn site, I'm sure they'd create somewhere for that too. It wouldn't add anything to this site other than causing more work/costs for the Mods/Admin.

You seem to peddle most of the myths.
Have you seen the Accounts?
Videos are not essential on all websites.
Wikipedia does fine without it.
EBay and Amazon don't have it as a standard.
Most online forums don't bother with them.
Id be happy for vids so long as the those wanting to post them paid more than the rest.
Bit like now, more photos for more money. Vids cost extra. But don't increase fees for all. |

The site doesn't have to host the videos, they can utilise links to videos hosted elsewhere.
The only real issue is the vetting each video hosted, but if you kept the player option to gold subscription couples profiles, as in no single men/wankers and put in a video limit this would be a lot less work.
Also, if you ban people who abuse it right away and include a reporting feature, the site will eventually self police. Anyone being reported would be reviewed, and you can just revoke the feature or ban them depending on the severity of the issue. |

In essence its a Porn website with the added benefits of mailing and meeting other like minded people...

This is why it's a good idea as I pointed out earlier, however I forgot to mention it should only be given to paying VERIFIED people. Maybe 5 meets minimum required. However there does seem to be an awful lot of girls who get verified on the day they join. |
