Room said 171 - I click to go in and it puts me view only mode as a site supporter  - please turn this annoying facility off or I will not be renewing my support for this site when it next expires |

The limit should be 175 so you should have been allowed in.
The general feedback we got with rooms @ 200 limit is that they were too "busy".
What browser are you using?

Using Internet Explorer - how would that effect the limit your imposing of 175 ?
The bit that annoys me the most is when i click on the room at 171 it puts me in the room - no message was given and yet when I typed the error message appeared saying I am in view mode only. This has happened a few times to em on my lap-top and the wife on hers (we are both supporting the site with subscriptions)
So lets expand on the annoyign bit - if the room has reached its limit of 175 - why isnt there an option to PROCEED with entry in to the room IN VIEW MODE or to CANCEL THE REQUEST to go in the room and leave you where you are ?
There are also more marketable options you could persue, like when it reaches 150 only allow subscibing members in for the last 25 slots to the room limit of 175. There are several site supports who are contributing to the funding of this site and being given less preferential treatment that non-contributing site members - (think you have missed a marketing strategy here to be honest.)  |

ive been getting exactly the same,and i can access the site via firefox or explorer.. 171 i was told view only.. |

You're right opening in view only by default rather than presenting some sort of message probably isn't ideal and we'll look at improving this 
We don't think giving preferential entry to rooms to site supporters is the way forwards in all honesty.

Next time you see this can you grab a screenshot, contact us privately. Sounds like there is a bug but we need some more info to diagnose/resolve.
