Server Lag

Some people use the site for a number of things such as using the “meet now” function which doesn’t drain the bandwidth. Although I’m sure the chat rooms consume considerable amounts, which many find an essential part of vetting potential meets. Some however just like to chat and have a laugh,it is getting increasingly difficult to

a)Get into the Welsh room when you first enter the chat module

b)Chat due to the lag being produced from time to time

So before anyone jumps down my neck with excuses of were working on it or we don’t have the money as it costs too much.

I will say this, although the site is based on no fee's which I am sure many people are grateful for. I have to ask the question what about the people who actually pay for the “site supporter” privileges? And more importantly when are the issues I have raised going to be resolved if ever.

Travelling

Dont know about the lag issue, but you can move from one room to another without logging out, so if you end up in the lobby, just move to the Welsh room from there.

we do get bad lag in the Welsh Room can take quite a while for the typing to appear in the room, then freezes, then oops we disconnected. As for getting into the Welsh Room when first trying chat, I tend to go to general room i get in there very easy then jump over to the welsh room, obviously after first saying evening to general dont like to be impolite. But the lag is really bad, it was terrible last night.

To the best of my understanding, the chatrooms are hosted by an independant company, Userplane, so perhaps it is a Userplane problem and nothing to do with this site ?

Just a thought

Totteridge/Whetstone

We're aware of the problems in chat sometimes and we're working to improve it behind the scenes

When we have more on this, there will be an announcement.
