can we have some sort of clarification on what "verification" is suppose to achieve....
following on from another thread in support and advice... I am now confused....
is it suppose to be used to say someone is who they say they are, they turned up and were genuine... nothing more
or is suppose to be use as some sort of recommendation service..... with the option of play by play account of what happens on meets...

our personalities ARE allowed to come accross from verifications, something that stands out to make the time decently special.... its up to those to put what they want in, whether it be simple great guy great fun, or ripped me a new arsehole, if we had a standard set of tick boxes there would be nothing to really make it a personal experience that u want to share with the rest of fab. VERIFICATION and RECOMENDATION are much the same thing, I dunno why ur blurring it more than the simple fact some people like others to know what they think of their meet, in postive aspects of course. |

We haven't laid down any hard and fast guidelines here so we don't have a strong opinion either way. Even if we did people would probably write what they wanted anyway 
So long as the verification is truthful then we are not too worried.

i read his verifies...they painted a nice picture though....so of course his statement wasnt entirely based on any sound advice, regardless of any moderator interaction, I knew i was right anyway lol....
so again I will say, the verify is a personal account of how you _iewed the person, it is there to share amongst the other members, it is not a tick-box of "arrived" "fucked" "real moustache" "smelly cock", its intended to make peoplelook at the verified individual as perhaps a 3dimensional being and not JUST simply a fuck.Because I'm gettin bored I will say, Finallllly....
imagaine a great meet, the guys got verifications on a tickbox, lets say "great fuck", that gives me no indication he can hold a conversation,I'd be embarrassed inviting a guy to a party and he sits there like a total fud without an ounce of social skill. |

Yeah but I'm still right!- in fact I detest cold verifications, then perhaps I end up just meeting people that can give an account of how they feel...and god forbid..maybe something different from the last meet before me....can u see it now..

well its your choice to be offended by veris that give blow by blow accounts, I never assumed anything, all I have saisd is theres different ways of using the verification system that includes giving a more interesting _iew of the persons, I cant see why this seems such an issue, and yes I have veris from different types of meets. this having decorum nonsense really doesnt wash with me from anyone, it is a swinging site we are open minded, people endlessly complaining about being to open in our lifestlyes wether it be verifications, adult themed pictures whatever, learn to deal with the very fact our site is intended for people with an open minded _iew point in sexual activities.
whether what u read is what u believe is ur choice but do rememeber its only a bloody profile, a 2d representation of what you want to give to the swinging community. |

Well it seems to us that the ppl who whinge about VARIFYCATIONS are always moaning bout the content of others varies or the amount,now to us it sounds like jelousy but thats us and if fab thought that they were pointless they wouldent have put the option to vari ppl in place abd the over all consencus is that they are a good thing ,i just wish ppl would stop moaning about them ffs this is suppose to be fun and iff ppl have had a relly fun meet its only right that iff they feel the need to advertise it ,well why not its not harming any 1 realy now is it ??? |

In our _iew verifications should say people on the profile are who they say they are.
What we do find strange is where you see a couples profile verified because the "male half" of the couple has met someone in person - surely if it's a couples profile, verifications should be because the couple have been met etc? |

the verification system,is almost useless,we had a guy recently contact us,his profile said he was bi,he had also been verified as gen by a male,we dont meet bi guys[our preference]when this was pointed out,he never replied,untill 2 days later,and guess what he had altered hisprofile to say he was now str8,and hid his only verification. |

How does that make the system of verification useless ? this guy changed his profile info to get a meet, but his verification was gen lol just goes to show you what some guys will do to get a meet haha.

Well if we are going to get serious about the subject then we all surely must realise that it is impossible to unify how they are written and what agenda they have.
Some will go way over the top and when you look at the profile or meet the person you realise that it is wholey inaccurate. Often the people who have given them give similar over verifications for all they meet. They probably want to meet again or dont want to burn their boats incase they decide to meet them in future or are maybe worried about akwardness if they bump into them at a club or party.
Remember that verifications cost nothing. Maybe if there were some kind of limitations on a sliding scale they would think twice but that obviously wouldnt work for other reasons.
Verifications to many only mean they look like they say and they turned up and either played or didnt. Nobody seriously gives negative verifications as they wouldnt be displayed anyway (although give a tick to a newbie). Some people _iew the verifications with sceptism and others take as gospel.
However, they can serve a purpose as in they show what type of person the profile holder likes to meet and whether or not they are likely to be what you are looking for. No fool proof method of course but maybe one of many other indicators. Interesting example (lol in my opinion) a couple who occasionally talk to us and told us that although they gave a good verification to a guy we know he was crap and they wouldnt be meeting him again... and asked us not to tell him.  (and no they havent met him again). I would add that in our opinion said guy was not crap and that maybe it was all down to chemistry perhaps?
Then there are those who give glowing verifications in the hope that they may be the happy recipient of the same shortly after....
This is not even taking into account individual _iews on who is attractive or not and that we all may like sexual acts in different ways.
Of course then there are the last type... the accurate pleasant but discrete ones with nice people who look after themselves and show respect to themselves and others. They are the type of people we like to mix with and so give an indication that the recipent of their verification may indeed be of interest to us. These are our favourites but because of all the other issues not ALWAYS easy to know whether they are genuine or not.
Gut instinct as a result of many other aspects is obviously the only way to go. This coupled with not rushing into anything and taking time for a chat on the phone followed by a social without expectations works for us. No doubt others do it their way and if it works for them great.

Even if a verification painted a not so good re_iew of the person or persons you had met, as graphic or articulate as anyone wants to paint them, no one would see anything that didnt advertise them as they want to see, i think it is better to just have a tick box to verify and keep the current verification for the advertising purpose that it is currently used for. and have a list of how many were left so we have an idea of how many they didnt approve |

its used how its wanted be used or not...no point in anyone moaning about it, to have one...I love...not to have one...och well.
Only thing I like about them is showing a persons character than something just plain cold, I like to have fun and meet the people, I stipulate whether i met them at a party , or had sex.Enough people here can read and write something simple or something complex, something just reserved or something more overt...
If ur meet went bad and u dont get a verify thats simple move on, if it went great and no verify ok...move on, get a great one...smile!!! |
