Of course they are. After 6 months of no cigarettes, you are classed as a non smoker by all accounts. Plus there's no smoke in vaping anyways  |

I have made time for a meet where the person or,persons have stated non smokers and chose not to say that they vaped.
It's unpleasant for me personally and the meets didn't continue.
I now ask.  |

They're arse holes if they're doing that, whether it's vapour, smoke or whatever lol. When vaping, mine was always blown down and away from people, as it was when I smoked doesn't hurt to be considerate.

 ....vaping also smells. I find it strange that it also carries a government health warning. I think those who say they are non smokers yet vapour are a little deluded. Granted it 'may' be better for your health but the jury is out as to what other chemicals are being injected.
If I met a non smoker who vaped the meet wouldn't go much further than a pleasant decline. Simple |

Until it's acceptable to walk around shops, inside cafés and bars. I'm afraid it's still classed as smoking. Guy got fined on the train the other day for using one. He tried the "it's not smoking" excuse but the BTP didn’t see things his way. Certainly not after the colourful language he used. |

It's totally different. Yes I agree you use nicotine, provided you don't use a nicotine free liquid. But do you call people who don't smoke, but use other nicotine replacement methods such as gum smokers? Guidelines are if you haven't smoked in 6-12 months you are a non smoker!
Though back on topic, I do agree this option should be added, because then vapers could declare they vape and people could make more informed choices as with other options. |

Really? So gum smoking...is this where they blow bubbles or do you classify smoking only on the nicotine content? So if someone was smoking a roll up without nicotine you'd say they aren't smoking?

A cigarette produces smoke so you inhale and exhale smoke . A Ecig produces vapour .so you inhale and exhale vapour . Spot the difference between smokers and vapours |

I have been vaping for 2 years now and never once have I not been allowed to Vape in a pub . And I always make sure I ask and never once been refused

I used to ask, but now I often don't bother taking it out with me. Private clubs and companies can't treat it as smoking, but they can still have rules for vaping. |

As someone who hasn't touched a cigarette for 4 years and who now hates the taste and smell of cigarettes I'm rather sick of ignorant people lumping vaping and smoking in the same barrel. I don't use nicotine either. I am a non smoker.
I will concede that there are a large number of ignorant vapers out there who seem to insist on blowing huge clouds of vapour.... There is no need. There are ways of vaping that produce almost undetectable exhalations of vapour.

We met a couple who said they were non smokers. they vaped almost continuously through the hour we thought was polite to spend talking to them while having a drink in a pub, and I mean continuously. it made us wonder if they would stop while having sex if we'd decided to take it any further...which we didn't.
friend's of mine who now vape also seem to do it far more often when we're out than they ever would have done when they were smoking. it's pretty off putting to be honest to sit with someone constantly sacking away on one of those contraptions and a reason why we don't look to meet vapers |

I think initially it is because I used to take maybe 3 or 4 drags of it, so I'd get less nicotine, but when I wanted it rather than finishing a full cigarette. Now I'm ready to pack it all up to be honest. |

why is my opinion ignorant, just because it's not the same view as yours. To me smoking and vaping are the same. Smells horrible and makes you look stupid in my opinion. Each to their own. Smoking and vaping doesn't make you ignorant. .nor does my opinion! |

I'm an ex-smoker who now vapes. I have zero nicotine in my tank and that's not even close to smoking. Vaping is Vaping, smoking is smoking. |

I have nothing against smokers or capers as long as they are considerate of the fact I do neither in my presence (so don't blow it in my face or house)
I know they say vaping is taste and odourless, but I can taste it when kissing a vapour, could be that I've always been a non smoker so I'm perhaps more sensitive to it |

The question is about having an option that allows users to state if they Vape or not.
It's not about whether it's the same as smoking or not.
Personally I want to meet people who don't smoke or vape and who will only meet other people who don't smoke or vape
- speaking of which, it would be great to have an option in the search field to find people who will also not meet anyone who smokes or vapes.
The powers that be at FABsHQ / would you add it to your long list of to dos for the next site update? |

If your view is that smoking and vaping are the same thing, then it is also a reasonable thing to say that it is an ignorant point of view to hold. Smoking involves burning and smoke whereas vaping involves the inhalation of a heated fluid (or plant) that releases an odourless vapour. |

I gave up smoking just over a year ago i still use nicotine but now I've reduced it down to 3mg hence if I do go on a date and that person minds me vaping I won't out of respect for her as i don't get the cravings anymore, however what bugs me the most is when a venue bands vaping but still has a smoke machine which is a device for atomising fluid using the same ingredients as an eceg only bigger!!! Goggle it if you don't believe me. No one moans about that ok so there's no nicotine in it but many people who vape don't have nicotine in there fluids. |

Most people don't realise one of the main ingredients in vape liquid is propylene glycol. Commonly found in fog machines, hospital ventilation systems and inhalers |

I understand peoples objections to smoking and vaping but personally I find poor personal hygiene the the most offending, living in the South west with high humidity this can neca major issue even when just visiting the supermarket |
