Someone can view your profile but then you can't view theirs as they have protected their own account??

Do you mean hidden, like mine is?

I'm not meeting at the min, so hiding it removes me from searches and stops people wasting their time and mine and mailing me.

But you can set your privacy settings so you can look at peoples accounts without them knowing
