It would prove they had a credit card - not that they are not a TWONK.
Only face-to-face meets with other members - resulting in reports on the profile - prove that they are who they say they are in reality. That's why we have a verification process already. |

I've got a deck of credit cards but that does not prove I am genuine. My veris from people who have met me do.
Not everyone has a credit card, some don't even want one. That should not prevent them from enjoying Fab.
There is an issue with people, usy men, who are time wasters but I doubt this is the answer. Even sites where paid membership is required to write messages have lots of guys who get cold feet or who are just after photos.

Your a couple profile its better for couples and single girls i was on as a couple and got inundated with messages but then as a single male profile i dont receive as much as i did before of course i wouldnt theres 300 guys to every 40-50 girls/couples and i would say a lot of male profiles that give abuse/dont turn up/ pic collectors ect mess it up for genuine guys because weve been branded |

I assume you are replying to me. The "+quote" button helps us to see to whom you are replying.
No one brands you. Crap single male profiles and responses are just that. It is quite easy to determine the ones we want to meet. A credit card would make no difference at all. |

This suggests an element of desperation.... so maybe slow down and take your time.
Yes, everybody was new at some point, it takes time to build trust respect and mutual attraction. How can you expect to find that in 2 days from a new member.
What you're saying is the site gives you the tools to resolve your frustration, you just don't want to use them.

Having a credit card authorisation to prove a user is 18 doesn't exclude those who have a credit card from being "fake" or timewarters. It merely proves they're over 18. It tells users nothing about their intention to meet people.
The OP's Veris state he's met 5 women on 7 meets, newest being 2 years ago. That tells me he's been a member over a year, at least two & has had meets but not recently. (Tho even then he may have had non Veried meets lately). So the clues are all there with the tools provided by Fab to tell other users lots about a profile. Clearly not a weekender/revolving door profile, but frustrated by the lack of new meets mostly, I assume, down to timewasters, no-shows &/or not using the tools or the clues on profiles.
I understand the OP's frustrations, but I doubt having a credit card would deter the pic collectors, fantasists who never meet, or the "fakes" & married men playing away or closet bi/gay husbands who have credit cards (& there must be plenty) from living their sad, solitary, devoid of real sex, pitiful lives.
My opinion for the OP is look for a local Social or Swingers Club in the Forums, attend one, meet the genuine swingers who don't have issues meeting single males & enjoy what benefits the site can truly provide. Learn to spot the fakes & timewasters & enjoy the fun rather than get too hung up on the negatives. That way you'll enjoy the site, the Forums, the Chat Rooms, Socials etc.
Fab has tried many things to out fakes & every site, including ones requiring a credit card has these issues.
Good luck with finding some fresh meets. |

hey u right been on this site since 2010 i will never delete account ive been in relationships since then so had loads of months without fab over the years met people that dont or have not verified ive got some great friends on here ive just moved to another area and all i see is timewaster this fake that so i had a little thought in my head ive been to clubs and parties in london i didnt realize i would be judged by you for not sleeping with over 100 fabbers i only mentioned something that entered my head i would of asked the site itself but as ive never been in forum thought i would try here |

I'd say we're not for fakes, we just know how to spot them.
Guys seem to have a problem with them because they think fakes are stopping them getting meets.

I take it that your finding it hard to get verified. As a single bloke i know how hard it is. I've been on for two years and it must have taken me the most of three months to get my first i messaged people and never seemed to get any were. Until I started to go to clubs then got chatting to people didn't get to play but gave a few people my name then out of the blue got asked to go to a party. Jumped at the chance and have never looked back. You have to put the leg work in and it takes time . So just stick with it |

Firstly, apologies if you think I was "judging" you for your right to operate your account in the way you want to operate it. That certainly wasn't my intention. Nor was it meant to infer anything on how many you should sleep with from Fab. I firmly believe everyone has the right to operate their account the way they wish to.
Similarly you have every right to have an idea or thought about how to reduce what you consider "fake" accounts. However, it's all been said before in the Forums & Fab have tried introducing many tools to help genuine users report these accounts - everything from stolen photos, to no shows at meets & these tools do work if members take the time to use them.
As for my suggestion of how people can interpret (& even misinterpret) a profiles content eg: Veris, latest Veris etc then you clarified that a 2 year old Verification is just that. 2 years old. Again, however my comment did point out that it could mean a couple of things. The only certainty was that you've been here at least 2 years & may not mean that was your last meet. I think I made that clear & it certainly wasn't making any derogatory comment. So again if you've taken that to heart as a "judgement" then I need to make clear that this was not my intention.
Anyway, now that you've found your way to the Forums I hope you find it enlightening & as much fun as other parts of the site.
Like other parts of the site you'll find negative sides to it. Everyone has an opinion, some of which some posters consider "facts". You'll find some replies are Fabs equivalent of trolls. I'm sure you'll find ways to deal with those just as we have to deal with "fakes".
In closing, once again welcome to the Forums, enjoy posting & interacting with the Forum users & (again) good luck.

Nobody here is fake. Some are genuine tosses but that's there problem.
Most "time wasters" spend most of the time wasting their own time. Another guy certainly won't waste your time!
You get from this site what you seek and what you are prepared to put in. Other sites require credit cards etc...the dynamic/proportions etc are just the same! |

I don't have a problem with fakes, they so far have been pretty obvious. The problem I have is with bottlers!!!
The amount of 'men' I've come across who are too scared to meet for a social is unreal!!!
Every single one has come back looking for another chance as well..... What a waste!!

Think you got a slightly hard ride there but some of your comments were a little misjudged.
Fortunately fab has a very good system of weading out the fakes - verifications! There just isn't really a way round it for the new guys - but we all started somewhere and all had the same problems. Clubs and socials are the easiest way for those new starters. Whilst the amazing wonderland has moved on from Lincoln there are still socials and if seriously interested in the scene and building up your network of friends this is the best and quickest approach. You can also have a lot of fun along the way too. See life ain't that bad! Keep your credit card and keep fab free xx |
