Meet Reliability Percentage

Would it be possible to add something like a meet reliability percentage?

For example, A & B arrange a meet. A turns up, B doesn't. A can select an option to declare B as unreliable or didn't turn up similar to leaving a verification. As this is B's first fail they still have a starting reliability percentage of 0%

B turns up for their next meet, A now selects an option to declare them as reliable. Based on one fail and one pass they now have a reliability percentage of 50%!

D arranges to meet C, C turns up, D declares them as reliable, as it is their first meet they now have a reliability percentage of 100%.

If someone has two no shows and one show, they would be 33% reliable.

The calculation is easy, 100 divided by the total of reports, 100 minus the result times the number of no shows!!

I know we have verification's to help but many people with verification's still don't turn up.

Does this make sense and does anyone else think it would be useful.

There are a zillion other threads on this forum requesting similar "eBay style" feedback options - ratings, stars, percentages etc. This is fab not eBay tho!

Verifications are designed to confirm whether someone turned up, was as they described etc.

Fabs is a tool to put likeminded people on the same webpage together - it doesn't guarantee meets, great sex, no timewasters. And we can't all be everyone's cup of tea so any ratings system is wide open for abuse (I could meet someone and then give them a one star rating if they didn't do or say what I wanted).

I don't know why people are so obsessed with this name and shame lark. What does it achieve? All it does is cause aggro on both sides.

In the vanilla world if someone treats me in a similar fashion I don't spend every waking moment wondering how I can tell the entire planet how I've been wronged. I bet like me most people simply have nothing ever to do with that person again. Problem solved!?

You Dont Need to Know, right now

"What if A pisses me off so i state that A didnt turn up when he did?? Or vice versa"

What if A refused to meet me (how very dare he!), so I report that he arranged to meet and didn't turn up. Also, I get two of my friends to make the same (untrue) report. He's automatically got a 33% rating.

Admin have said elsewhere that there will never be a name-and-shame option on this site, and I'm sure this extends to putting 'reliability' flags on a profile.

People should just use the tools of the site and more of their own common sense, to out the unreliable profiles. That's what I do, and in 4+ years on this and other sites, I've never had someone fail to turn up without warning.

The only thing we can safely conclude is that it's possible to overthink some things.
