Fake Profiles

It seems to us that all genuine verified members are suffering with this problem of fake profiles. We are aware that most would just say "don't share your pics with non verified members". Maybe there needs to be a deterrent? Why not severely restrict features to non verified users? Just as a dating website restricts access to non paying customers, surely this would really out the fake users and make it difficult for them to use the site. Thoughts? |

Fake profiles have never really bothered me, they are usually easy to spot and this site gives you all the tools you need to help you them out but nothing is as good as your gut instinct. |

I have never had a problem with fake profiles..... but then I don't know what a fake profile is compared to a real profile?
I am going to assume that by fake profile you mean a male pretending to be a fem or MF couple. These are soooo easy to spot  |

I don't have any problems with fake profiles. When arranging a meet, I use the tools the site gives me, and my own common sense. In 4+ years on this and other sites, I've never had a problem.
Restricting access to the site to people who aren't verified wouldn't work. How are people supposed to get verified, if they can't use the site to arrange meets? |

Easily faked and photo shopped though. Plus the site owners have consistently said they will never make photo verification compulsory. There are tools available to stop messages from unverified accounts, those with no pics etc so use them and everyone is happy  |

Admin answered this on another thread three days ago - twice!
1) "If you believe those who are photo-verified aren't fake, only interact with those who are. That way the site works as you wish.

It's really easy to avoid those who aren't photo-verified for those who prefer life that way.

As above. No extra site tools are required. It is easy enough to spot them if you use common sense. Besides, it can be fun to wind them up, you know. |

I have my filter set to verified by others only yet people who only have the green tick Ie self verified can still contact me I'm also set to receive mail from people with public pics but that does not happen either sick of messages from people like this

Looking at it from the other side, all the fakes also make it difficult for genuine people who will meet. I'm not looking for sympathy as I know I won't get it, I had a profile on here before with quite a few veri's. Since coming back it seems that I am having far more difficulty even getting a reply as I currently have no veri's and people seem to be avoiding replying because of it. But over the last few weeks have spoken to a couple of couples that turned out to be fake. I know I'll get there eventually if I persevere but it is a pain. |

Exactly. Some are way too quick to call others fake. No veris - fake. No pics- fake. Hidden profile - fake. Chat and realise not compatible - fake. Turn someone down - fake. The list goes on. Use all the tools fab give you to them out and your common sense and you should be fine. |

I prefer to concentrate on my own profile and not worry about fakes . ? How many fakes go to the bother of writing a good profile .
I never bother reading verifications as they are meaningless and all say the same thing .
Basic common sense is the solution to most problems |

The verified users message filters means both meet/cam veris AND pic veries, you cannot set them to receive mail from from meet/cam verified members ONLY. And the public pic filter is pointless as they make a pic public, send message then make pic private again. |

But green tick isn't self verified? It means they have been verified as a real person by someone else and in most cases is a lot more reliable than photo verification.
As Queen of Tarts says the public pic on is a bit useless as they can set a pic to public, send mail and put the pic back to private  |

I half agree with you but it's not just non paying customers who are fake. I am only a bronze member and I am well and truly genuine. I have been lied to and stood up by paying fake silver members. The sort of site that it is will attract idiots with their dick in their hands. Simple |

I personally think there should be a forum for naming and shaming ! Simple, . If you find fake couples / singles then you should be able to let everyone know who and where they are ! Also let everyone know all the hookers/prostitutes that play here and are on adult work ! . Would get rid of half the idiots in one go ??? |

No I disagree ! If you have genuine verifications and friends which other people can see like We both have !! And not just one ! Then you can be sure there real ! If I read that You were fake than I'd take a look at your file and see how can that be with the number of verifications and friends you have met !! . It's simple. Genuine people can chose to show there numbers without showing verifications incase the fakes think there a easy target , simple fakes can't show what they do t have !!! |

My point is that it can and would happen due to pettiness. And what about people who haven't been meet verified but are real, but someone decides their a fake for whatever reason and names and shames them without proof? |

We have known fakes on here with over a dozen verifications, so that doesn't mean anything.
Use common sense and the tools fab gives you, its not hard!
(we knew they were fake as we happened to know the person whos pics he used. We we messaged his veris, they all admitted they had not met him). |

The site admins have said elsewhere that there will *NEVER* be a public place for naming and shaming. If someone has arranged a meet and fails to show without warning, use the Report function to let site admins know. If there is a pattern of someone failing to turn up, admins will take the appropriate action. |
