new user gets verified has no friends on list how?

have notice a few new users that has just join and within seconds they are verified from other users but have no friends on list; also not been photo verified.
kinda confused on this

You do not have to have friends though to be varified, so if they have changed name or new profile they may have contacted someone they have met and asked them to varify, then decided not to show their varifications. |

You don't need to have Friends on your list. Verification texts aren't shown unless you choose show them. It could be that the site has been recommended by a member they have met at, e.g. a club, who then verifies them as soon as they join. |

We have recomended fab to friends of other sites who we have met and verified them the same day they have joined,nothing dodgy about that as we have met them x |

We have done exactly the same as JnP - met someone at a club, recommended this site to them, and then verified them when they create their account.
If you are still suspicious, check out the people who are doing the verifying. |

I have introduced people from other sites to Fab and verified them as they joined. Also met people at Chameleons and such like and verified them as they were previously on rival sites.
All of my friends are now having a whale of a time on here.

There is a lot of people giving fake verifications apparently. The sad thing is admin don't seem to want to do anything about it. |

Does it really matter????
Surely we can all make up own minds up about people on here? We dont meet people JUST because they verified OR what that verification says!!!
Most of us can quickly suss out the time wasters anyway..... |
