WOLVERHAMPTON

Would it be possible to see which chat room each couple are in when looking at who's on line so you can find them easily

You Dont Need to Know, right now

It's been suggested lots of times. And it's still a 'thumbs down' from me (unless there is an option to turn it off, or set it to 'friends only). Sometimes I hop rooms to get away from someone I don't want to chat to, and I don't want random men following me round the chat rooms.

Wanting to chat in the same room as people you like doesn't make you a stalker or you would all not be drawn to the same chatroom to chat with the same people in it

Ok.... So when people start following you about, all over the site, making a pain of themselves because they can't take no for a answer... Is that acceptable?

That is what I was referring to.

What I find acceptable or not about a different situation altogether isn't really the issue but if is that was what you meant then it might have been better saying that instead of it looking like you were implying anyone who suggested this was a stalker

you can block them so they can't see you or your cam in any chat.

it's just under their name on the room list.

I always think that blocking them is a bit harsh, though. I mean, they don't realise that they're doing anything wrong... I'm always polite in chat, and some men think that means they are 'in with a chance'. I don't want to block them, I just want to be able to have a bit of peace and quiet by moving to a different room (and not having them follow me). Room hopping is far less blunt and hurtful than blocking, which is why I don't want randomers to have a tool which would help them follow me around. If this suggestion was implemented, it would force me to block them.

if you don't click off the room chat you were in then their cam automatically follows you. i think it does this anyway if you click chat off. only when you've turned the cam off will they not be able to view it.

and even then if you haven't left cam chat completely then they can view it again if you turn it back on, it's a site thing.

pretty sure i've seen this mnetioned somewhere on here before.

Yeah, it was me that mentioned it lolol. The only way that we have to get someone off our cams is to turn it off, until THEY get bored watching a frozen cam, and THEY click off. Then we can switch it back on again in a different room, and they can't see it.

I was astonished when someone told me this, but I tested it with some friends in northern room, and it is true (well, it was when we tested it, about 6 months ago).

But to be honest, I'm not really bothered about who is watching my cam... I assume that anything that is broadcast on the internet is in the public domain, and I make sure not to show anything on cam that I wouldn't be happy for my parents to see lolol. It is a bit of a giveaway though, if I don't wait long enough for an irritating chatter to click off, and he realises that I'm still in chat, in a different room. But I'm only prepared to go so far, in trying to avoid hurting someone's feelings. If the irritating chatter can't take the hint (that I've hopped rooms to avoid him) then I will resort to the block button.

It's not usually 'pushy' people I have a problem with - I would block them without a second thought. It's usually 'needy' people who I want to take a break from, which is why I'd rather not hurt their feelings, unless I have to.
