I'm not one that regularly runs out of messages...but the couple of times it has happened it's instant...meaning if you are "chatting" to some one you can't make them aware of your inability to message them.
Perhaps a warning saying you have only 10 messages left, or something like that, would be a good idea. |

lol..no idea...it just came up with a message saying the limit had been reached...as a site supporter I already had the maximum allowed and therefore I wasn't able to send any messages until the next day. |

Yes they do.
Site supporters don't get a limitless amount of messages. Everyone has a limit they can send, it is just that Admin have never said what that limit is. |
