I understand why a member cannot block a chat op to prevent the op from seeing what they are typing in the chatroom... but why does a block become completely impossible just because someone becomes a chat op?
I blocked a chat op (before they became an op) because of their persistent nuisance (old style) whispers and low and behold they become a chat op and now I can't block them from doing anything at all.

Polo, like you, I hate the intrusive whispers in Old Chat. One of the main reasons I have switched to New Chat is that there is a facility to prevent people whispering. I have my pm's set to 'friends only', so only people who are on my friends list can whisper to me.
As far as I am aware, this means the mods can't whisper to me (they ain't on my friends list, cuz I ain't had the pleasure of any of them yet!) I don't think the mods have a super-power to over-ride my 'friends only' setting for pms.
Certainly, on the two occasions that the mods wanted to have a private word with me, they asked me in the main room first, and the pm box was initiated by me. |
