I think being able to write comments on pics would be good. Obviously if there are comments the owner of the pics doesn't like, they should be able to delete, report or reply to those comments. |

Well that would be one way to stop women posting pics on this site, just get people to publically write comments about them which they would have to take time out of their day to check and delete as necessary  |

This is a crazy idea. If you want to comment on a photo just fab it and people will get the idea you like it. Failing that, maybe a polite message saying why you really like it. But don't be upset if you don't get a reply. |

NOT a good idea. My profile is just that - MINE. I don't want anyone else writing anything on it. And why would you want to read something about me, written by someone who has never met me? You can form your own opinion, with no need to read other people's opinions.
95+% of comments would fall into two types - "you're beautiful" (subtext, please have sex with me) and "you're a fat ugly slag" (subtext, you have said you won't have sex with me).
As someone else said, I would have to spend valuable time reading and deleting comments that I didn't want - and I'd rather spend that time interacting with people I might actually want to meet. |

In theory it's a nice idea born out of saying nice things about a picture
Then reality is that lots of people aren't nice and would use the function to be spiteful |

First don't think its a bad idea - along as it was optional, could make it so that you could decide if each picture you loaded to the site was able to receive comments - equally you could load a picture that you post a comment yourself, to enlist responses - such as what do you think of my "outfit" etc.
However maybe a solution would be to have a forum area that was able to have pictures loaded to it - restricted to paid members maybe to remove the spam amount that would be loaded - again for people to comment on, where people want to. All about choice - those that don't don't, those that do can.
