Club Reviews - Worldwide

Why oh why is there not a section called "Worldwide" for Club Reviews?

I'm pretty certain I'm not the first to ask this and most likely will not be the last.

It's not like it's even a hard configuration or program change. There's no messing with the coding. The feature is there and is a case of updating the section.

I know there is the forum and people use this to post. But one frustration I have is that I went through great lengths to write a club review for the variety of clubs that we visited in Gran Canaria and that appears to have been removed with no explanation!

The year before, I went through the process of "suggest a new club" and again wrote a detailed account of Mystique in Tenerife. Did it get published? No!

It's very annoying that there seems to be constraints to adding content on the site to add value, knowledge and experience to the swinging community.

When we write, we are impartial, keep it objective with the occasional justified subjective opinion (be it positive or a critique). We try to contribute to the community and support the lifestyle but little feedback is getting somewhat frustrating.

We, like many, have paid for the service for quite a long time and when communication is one way, it starts to feel quite a negative customer relationship and a "take your money and run" scenario.

Come on fab owners, get closer to your customers and continue to develop a great website into a second to none one!

"The clubs have to submit a request to have their club listed. We as members cant just start one"

This is not correct.

If you look at the firm to complete, there is no stipulation to suggest that the club has to submit this.

There is a checkbox to state if you are the club owner (for their info only).

Otherwise, why would I put the effort to put a long request in.

I'm very keen to understand why you think this is the case, because if you have something to back this up, then there is a conflict of information.

The reason you cant post one is because it has to be approved by Admin. As far as I am aware anyone can suggest a club but I think it has to be the club who has to ask for it to be posted as they then share links for the websites.

Us as normal members dont have links to websites to share.

If Admin has changed how they do things and I am out of date with the information I am sure they will let us all know

Yeah but it still makes no sense. If this is the case, it's not very clear and I see no reason why only a club should be able to upload their info. If this was the case, then it should be claro.

But sharing links is standard. Anyone can share a link as all this is is a reference to a URL and from a html point of view a h ref tag. Simple stuff.

It's more the process.

But from a communications point of view, fab is not the strongest site. There are others that manage this far better.

But that's not us taking anything away from fab. We think it's a great site and it's been good to us. We'd just like to see them raise their a game a bit more and listen to many great suggestions.

I know they do make some improvements, but a lot are overlooked and not managed very well from a development perspective.

Trust me, website and software development are a strong point of my knowledge.

Yes you are right anyone can share a link, but I don't think Admin would want me to add a clubs name and then share a link of the bag I just bought from John Lewis. The clubs and Admin share their club and site links.

Anyway, you are in the right place for your feedback, Admin always read this section

Yeah of course. Totally get that and with that an approval process should be in place to authorise the publication of such a post to ensure all looks appropriate.

Hopefully! Look forward to receiving some feedback!
