Polite thanks but no thanks automatic message

I was on an other site where you had to just tick a box to send a polite 'no thank you' message it was so easy. I'm finding keep replying to lots of messages tedious and wouldn't that cut down on the much reported rude no thanks messages

Yes, that was A-F-F we think and it was quick to use and ensured the person making an approach was informed rather than left high and dry.

Admin? Good idea this and can't see how it would add to your server limitations?

This has been asked before many times but I don't think it will happen. Comments made were that where this was available on other sites, the moaning was about how cold it was so you can't win I'm afraid

This is a shame because for those of us who understand the need to be polite to somebody who, for whatever reason doesn't "tick all the boxes", we would use it correctly.

I don't know whether one could get more "cold" than the present system where many guys complain of not getting any response at all!

I find that alot of the messages I get from guys I'm not into are repeats.

So I just send a 'sorry not for me' message and then block them as that as least stops them wroting again from the same account or replying to me telling me what a bitch I am!

That's why I said you can't win; they moan about not getting replies, messages being unread, messages being read but no response and being blocked for no reason. Or we could use an automated service and they'd moan about that

I may be one of a minority, but to me, the female or couple I have sent a message to simply deleting is enough, I don't find that rude at all.

But like I said, I am probably in a minority on this.

Think the majority understand that too.

Most people don't use the forums, and it's only a repeatedly loud minority of the forum users who ever moan about not getting acknowledgement...so it's probably understood as not rude by most people.

I found that when I changed my profile pic it had a direct effect on the number of messages I got. It's simple for now until it's implimented.
