At the moment the only way you can seek out people with the body type you desire is to search through every profile in your area, check out body types and corresponding pictures - (as some body types can be ambiguous - particularly 'fabulous'!) or post a thread on the forums looking for a particular type, which has potential pitfalls: Only a small percentage of fabbers read the forums - and even forumites don't read every thread! If you're a woman you can request any height, body type you like - but if you're a ban looking for anything other than large or curvy ladies there are potential backlashes and pitfalls, (I have no issues with people who prefer larger/curvier ladies btw - I get my share of guys as all women do on fab!) To me it would be so much simpler if, like on many dating sites, we could search and filter messages by body type! This would benefit all of us! It would allow guys to message ladies/couples with their desired body type more easily! It would allow ladies to search in the same way - ie I wouldn't have the issue of being turned down by guys who prefer larger ladies! It would also be great, I think, to be able to block people who don't match your desired body type - or people who aren't attracted to your body type! Not only would this keep ladies inboxes at a more sensible level (I have over 450 unread messages and I know that's not unusual - some have many more!) I posted this because a lot of people DO have preferred body types - and at the moment it's impossible to find that body type without trawling through loads of profiles! Its absolutely no different to searching by age - and most people have age guidelines on their profile - some keep it at 18-99. It wouldn't work any differently - and similarly would only be used by those who want it! If body type is not an issue to a person then they just wouldn't use it - simple! | |||

I'm a lardy arse. I used curvy because I don't think fat is an option and you have to write something. I'd never describe myself as a BBW, mainly because I don't like the term personally.
I still don't require an option to search. When I'm looking to meet someone it's generally the text that grabs me first. I want a smart bloke and I'm not interested in those who can't see past my spare tyre or my extra chin.

I wouldn't say you've been lambasted...it's been pointed out that you always jump on size threads; that in recent days it has been your posts (however innocuous you may believe them to have been) that have soured threads and caused offence by generalising or being sweetly snide; you have a fixation with there not being enough forum praise on fab for slim/athletic women; you appear desperate for men to be able to search for a certain body type and be able to bulk block others, regardless of looks, personality etc; you are lying about your age (you were a few years older than me when you joined and I'm 46 next month! )
So all in all nothing more than a few home truths that I'm sure quite a lot of forum users have noticed.

My profile did say 'curvy' - meaning hourglass not fat - but I'm following Ruby Woo's example and changing to 'fabulous', because that's what I am!

Yes and you're not alone. ..ive been following threads of late and picked up on the same thing!...I suggest the op starts reading her 450 unread messages and concentrates on that rather than size bashing "This has played on my mind all day. In particular, the fact that a female on the thread body critiques another female on the thread saying' bit of a tum.' It's bloody awful to do that. | |||
