"I think they were closed because of accusations around stalkers. Could be wrong. I avoid threads that become play grounds " OK thanks I sort of just came across several similar threads. The strange thing is the original Op was still on site weeks later! Mr W

"I think they were closed because of accusations around stalkers. Could be wrong. I avoid threads that become play grounds " I did notice a rash of these recently, some of them quite old & suddenly being resurrected. I didn't notice any similarity in names making them current again, though I did suspect someone was making a point. Everyone is allowed to change their mind but if I was going to leave (& have) I'd just go & not post for wishing not to appear a complete LAM.

"Don't suspend me because I am asking a question that wasn't answered. Got suspended for disagreeing with admin decision. Ok that is against the rules however one thread was running while similar ones were closed. So I asked why in the forum and got suspended. Now I presume the threads were being closed because so many of that type were being run at the time and it was getting a bit daft. The suggestion is could an explanation as to why the thread was closed be posted then we could report similar ones quoting that reason, Mr W I landed up with a forum ban because I gave my opinion on a profile and I was told I was nit picking on this profile." It clearly states in the rules not to give advice unless they ask for it. Been caught out myself on that one often enough

The suggestion is could an explanation as to why the thread was closed be posted then we could report similar ones quoting that reason, Mr W " It was closed and explained by the mod who closed it that it is best he didnt bump lots of old threads just because he was bored. A different leaving thread that was posted that week was not removed as it was obviously not being bumped up for devilment. Nothing to do with having friends in higher places as was suggested and other suggestions on removed posts, just self explanatory really. Maybe instead of keep falling foul of the same rule to earn bans, read the explanation at the bottom of the threads
