I've just gone from having a Silver membership to a free member - though I'm looking to upgrade again soon when funds allow.
One element that's disappeared is the 'You have mailed them/They have mailed you' tags when viewing a profile.
As a single male I find that useful as it stops me sending messages to women/couples who I've already e-mailed and haven't responded. I figure if I've e-mailed them and then no response then they are not interested - so I don't e-mail them again.
But now that tag has gone there's no ready reminder re. contact having being made. And if I see someone I'd like to e-mail then I can't remember if I've already done so.
I appreciate that non-paying members have to accept less privileges than silver/gold members. But the loss of e-mail tags to free members may actually encourage repeat e-mails (or worse - spam)?
So, as a suggestion provide the e-mail tags to non-paying members? It may reduce repeat e-mails from forgetful people like me? |

"I think asking for the same extras as supporter members is a bit cheeky, there has to be some perks ad attraction to pay the extra."
I wasn't trying to be cheeky - I accept that paying members should obviously get more perks. I was just suggesting making this perk available to non-paying members as it could benefit paying subscibers too. |

alternatively just block them when you've been turned down - that will stop you making that mistake again"
If someone does say they are not interested then I do 'block' them for the reason you state.
However, it's people who haven't replied or were not on-line when I e-mailed them that I lose track of whether I've contacted them. I don't send out spam-loads of messages, but sometimes if I'm e-mailing people then I'm not sure if I haven't contacted them before. |

"If it bothers you that much just pay £5 for silver membership then your problems will be solved
Simples"
I will be paying for a new subscription in a couple of days. But that's not the point I'm making. I was suggesting that if this facility was generally available it might reduce spam being sent to paying subscibers. It was for their benefit, not mine.
lol - dodn't expect this to be so convoluted |

You have been told it has been removed temporarily in the following thread posted by Admin this morning -
