I had a conversation with some of the single guys I'm friendly with at my last social and we all agreed that it would be great to set up private groups and forums.
We wanted to set up a private, friendly, MODERATED, men-only group to act as a support and advice network run by men and for men. |

Sorry but at my age I don't really need a private men only group to support me on here or give any advice.

I'm not sure that admin would do that but can see the principle behind it.
Whenever a single male posts asking an innocent question they get sarcastic replies, often belittling them, completley uncalled for in many cases.
dont know why people have to reply to a thread just for the sake of it and then start an argument.
so, even speaking as a couple i think its a good idea

While were at it, why not have a specific private forum for all those that take great pleasure in 'having a dig' at other threads.
Am sure they could all be happy together 'passing their opinions' and having their 'twopence worth' in their own little forum, lol
So to the OP.... good idea! Even if everyone could view the forum but only males could post?

great... in theory....
but in practice.... don't think it would work for various reasons...
it could very easily come across as condesending....
it could easily produce clone after clone.....
as much as I hate it when couples come up with "easy step" guides... I think it is as bad when single guys do it!!
plus I think it gives people the idea of least effort for maximum results
plus as i say with all guides... you make it harder for the people who do "genuinely" get it to get meets... and you make it harder for people to work out who "gets it" from those who just "say the right things......"

Just how are you going to ensure that its only single guys that get in? Before you say because of the profile, its going to be very easy to set up a single bloke profile to join. Just as easily as some single guys create couple profiles, hoping to meet more easily. |

Men being given freedom of speech - in a private group without women!!! bloody outrage I say 
I can see a good principal behind it, but not sure whether how viable or useful it would be once up and running. |

Then you'd get women setting up as guys... and then the women would have to get a room, then you'd get guys setting up as women...Wouldnt think it work. Esp if a guy from a couple had a profile as the woman did. They may have access to each others passwords etc, and log in to see what all the fuss is about Example SteveandJ and JandS. Both own profiles that show they attached. They may know each others passowrds and be able to log in as each other. |
