I would like to suggest an improvement to help people who organise parties/socials etc where there are guest lists.

Make the Guest List a sticky at the top of the thread and allow it to be editable by the organiser.

This would save many lists being on a thread and it getting too big too early.

Dont think most guests would want their names displayed on the forum

"Dont think most guests would want their names displayed on the forum"

Certainly some do not, and a lot will just put there name down with no intention of going and theres the ones who delete there profile, the only truly accurate list of those who have attended is the day after the event

I am not saying its complusory for people to be on the list in the forum (or though if you check the socials most are)

It is a suggestion to make it easier for organisers to update a list and for people to find it.

If you want to look at an example of what it will eradicate search "Birmingham Social pt2"...there is a guest list every 3 or 4 posts as that is all the organisers can currently do to update.

Forum Mod

O o O oo

Hopefully not unless they are to be deleted after a social as you would have sticky threads everywhere that are only relevant to people going to a social.

more north lincs than mids!

On the number of occasions we have run socials, we have kept a personal list in a notebook at home.

A guest list doesn't have to be published to attendees on the forums, some people don't want anyone else to know they are attending.
