Hi Admin.
Hope all's well with you!
Any chance of an adjustment to the 'Not looking for......' message that appears when users block mail from single men?
A few points.
1. The message only appears when a filter is applied to prevent men messaging. None appears saying "Not looking for couples/single women/TV/TS/MM/FF". Should a similar message not appear in those circumstances, else it seems a tad unfair?
2. Why not just remove the message altogether and have the same message appear that does when you attempt to message someone who has age/gender filters - the "sorry, you can't message this profile as they're not looking for...." one. Or an simple alternative that says "This profile has chosen not to receive messages from men" (see point 4).
3. Users are given the option to display the groups their looking for. Either of the above two options would fit nicely with those preference settings without appearing to discriminate against only one demographic.
4. At present many users apply the filter to stop incoming messages as they prefer to search themselves - the current system can be confusing (see the endless threads in the forums!) to men seeking women/couples who find themselves looking at what appears a contradictory profile - one stating they are seeking men get with the words "Not looking for single men".
Think that sums up my thoughts.
Have a nice evening.

"Asked about this last year. The response was... less than satisfactory.
What was the response?
A"
Basically along the lines of 'single males are the most likely to get filtered out so we make sure they know when they aren't welcome on a profile'. Still not sure why admin think couples and females shouldn't get the same treatment. |

This is a historic thing, the software we use that we wrote that runs everything only used to allow "single males" to be blocked (years ago). When we took on Fab it had other types that we eventually added blocking for but never updated the message.
It's on our list

If they've contacted you, you can always reply.
