Yorkshire does exist

We get classed as North West even though we are right in the middle. The north east are our Geordie brethren and our scouse cousins are north west. We're just yorkshire, how about that as an area? |

The point is its very annoying when I'm looking for local people in the midlands and on my local search people from Yorkshire pop up Yorkshire is not local to Coventry! |

Wish local updates worked on area from your postcode too, we get updates from quite a distance away in east midlands but a mile in a different direction comes under north east and it doesn't show. Think Yorkshire is a big enough county to have its own regional area. |

You know its only the largest because every other county gave you the bits of theirs they didnt want?  |

Both admin, on peoples profiles it say they are from the west midlands when they are from Sheffield this is wrong! Sheffield is in Yorkshire! |

Fully agree, I started a thread a while ago similar to this but asking for a Yorkshire chat room and was shot down by people. To find anyone in Yorkshire you have to search East Midlands, North east and north west. I know you can use the "xxx miles away" function but that doesn't change the fact that one of the largest regions in the country isn't recognised in its own right. |

Whilst you're at it, maybe split up wales into north and South Wales too. Cos y'know I'm not looking for anyone in Cardiff to meet when they're over 6 hours away... |

Try it for us, we pay council tax in Wakefield, which on here is NE, then have address in Barnsley (East Mids), but work in Hudds which is NWest.... |

We could do with splitting Wales into North Wales, Mid Wales and South Wales.
If you're in South Wales and want to go to North Wales, it takes longer to make that journey one way than to go to London AND BACK...!!!
North Wales and South Wales are like two separate countries...!!! |
