"Hate to say this guys, but the new chat is a miss as far as I am concerned. I had a look a long time ago, and put feedback in, but you either havent taken any notice, or perhaps are going to force it on us anyway no matter what we say? The chat window is too small by a long way, when the chat is moving along at a fair pace, its impossible to have a decent convo, unless you only post very short comments. The old chat gave you the option of minimising the section at the bottom, I know that means I cant dock cams, but if I wanted to perve loads of cams I would go and do some one handed typing in the directors room!!! A chatroom is, by definition, somewhere to chat!! The two panes on the right are a waste of space, they could be smaller.... more room for chat lol!! Its still not possible to have two people in new chat on one profile name, which is a major failing, its great to chat to both members of a cpl, we even planned to get a laptop to be able to do this ourselves, but if it goes over to beta chat altogether then that will be a big step back. The "private room" thingy is a bit of a ball ache too, when you minimise them they dissappear behind the chat window. Admittedly I havent used to new chat much, but how do you find them without minimising (and therefore losing your convos)? To be fair, the camera resolution etc is much better on the new beta, but, as I said earlier, I come into chat to chat, and whilst I do look at cams, I mainly log on to talk to friends, keep up with whats going on, and swap info, not to perve lol." We do plan to have a "no cams" entry option for those who are more interested in chat than cams, which wouldn't have the cams at the bottom, and would result in more room for chat. In the meantime, try with the SMALL CAMS option to get more room for the chat window. Regarding two people in chat. This is very unlikely to happen on new chat room. Just a suggestion, and maybe you do already, but perhaps you should use the chatrooms for a bit and then compare them? As to having two accounts.... thats all well and good, but then you have two accounts to "housekeep" and sometimes its hard enough keeping up with one lol!! Yes, it might be. We're looking at ways to tweak and improve the way PMs pop up so they don't "disappear". A tabbed browsing system is one option

I had it a few times this morning, but put it down to netbook but just had it on main PC. Might be down to IE7?" Yes could be IE7 try IE8 see how you get on, let us know. " ++++++++++++++++++ Have to agree with _thwalescpl on this one, we will be sticking to the old chat for as long as is possible. Couples do regularly log in twice in the old chat rooms and use different colour text to distinguish between them. We use the chat when we are in different locations so that both of us can still message each other as well as other chat users. As for creating a seperate profile for each half of a couple, we feel that a significant amount of couples have built up their profiles over long period of time and have their user names recognised by other chat users and users of fab who do not use the chat facility. Creating specific accounts just for using the chat program un-necessarily increases the number of profiles on fab and most of them would be effectivly dummy accounts and unused. | |||

Noted. Bearing in mind that we can't please everyone all the time, we are certainly open to the suggestion that we could open a room just for verifieds of some criteria. This would upset those who couldn't get in. But maybe it could be read-only so they could enjoy the view. Feedback welcome

this evening with in 1hr 8 cpls said they were not renewing there site suportes as the chat was not worh it and left the room due to stupid single males sending abusive messages
best bit was most tried to use old whispers and every one could read them
a room for site suporters would be great please bring it on soon before the good chaters get to fed up and go some where eles | |||

We're silver supporter's but can only dock 1 cam, when we try to dock another cam it says "only 1 dock cam allowed" Why not suspend "non site supporter's" from beta chat? the room chat log is moving far to fast with so many user's i.e 250+ at present. The purpose of paying was to meet real people who wanted to chat and actually have a good time .. now we have a room of impolite inpatient timewasters. A supporters room was just that a room where people supported the site.. this is now dead and buried.. nice one guys needs a rapid rethink or are you actually thinking of selling site on to larger commercial company????" A little over dramatic there me thinks!!
Killed the site? I'm sure the site will survive.
I for one won't be leaving just because some people don't like the chatrooms.

" Here you go, as a (Gold) Site Supporter "You've got access all this Fab stuff: No more ads on site, latest photos gallery, no ads in chat, who has looked at me? page, saved messages archive (look for "save this" on messages you receive), site supporters chatroom and multiple cams in chat, increased upload allowance, viewing of larger images (where available), request a username change, and the site supporter badge on your profile." " i think problems are going to arise when people are stopped from getting into the room cos it is full, because people enjoy the social side of it as well, and come on to catch up with friends as well as arrang meets and stuff, but as i said previoulsy will see how it goes | |||
