We made a change today to how we detect your cam in new chat.

If your cam WORKS in old (userplane) chat BUT DID NOT in new chat, please give it another try let us know how you get on

Why do some of the cams have a different colour around then when the are listed next to username?

I tried using Chrome instead of firefox, and it at least comes up with a option to allow cam, which it didnt before, and my cam symbol appears on the list. Just it seems not allowing anyone to view it, as i clicked on my own cam and cannot view anything. Some other people said in the room they cannot view all the cams so it might be a chatroom problem rather than my cam now.

Tried again and its not coming up with the option to click your cam on now. so seems to be back to before for me anyway - ie cant get cam to connect in new rooms.

There should be an allow radio button. You just need to ensure that this is selected.

What do you see? What does it say?

Just get Flash setting and a display box tab which is ticked enable hardware accleration. next tab is mic and that has my mic selected and the last tab is cam and that also has the correct cam selected.

We've now provided an alternative cam link which says "(Above not working, click here)" which starts the cam in the "old" way and should fix the above

I can't see any new link? is it me...

My cam works in the old chatroom, but in the new it just says CAM HIDDEN. i've tried firefox and IE8 and the problem is the same. all other settings are ok, proven by the cam working in old chat room. Help?

What version of Flash are you running sounds like you may have an older one.

What version number does following say?

Try deleting temp internet files in your browser, then reinstall adobe flash.

Ive done that and looks like if got the latest version 10.1. My cam appears on the list in the room, but i got another person to check if there was any picture and there isnt, so not quite there yet.

There are two ways to start your cam - try the alternative way (red link).

What cam and what browser do you use?

If you have any anti-virus/firewall turn off temporarily just to test.

I have tested the cam with no firewall still no picture. I use firefox, but also have tested on chrome. Use kaspersky internet security, and use logitech120 webcam.

Strange, we test with logitech cams here too. Can you contact us privately we'll give you an email addy to send us some screenshots might help us figure out

Have sent email with attatchments of screenshots but not sure if they attached properly. Spoke to a few other people and it looks like im not the only cam that shows in chat room but noone can see ur picture.

Getting seriously annoyed why i can get my cam to work in every other cam chatroom i use(8 in total), yet it will not work in the new beta chatroom. There is obviously nothing wrong with my cam or it wouldnt work with these other chatrooms, and it wont work on either Chrome, firefox or IE so cannot be the browser im using. We'll try and go through this logically with you step by step.

When you start up the chat room, what exactly do you see in the top right window "Your cam"?

When i log into the new chat i have a box that says click here to start cam, so i click on that. Then box that is adobe flash player settings. It says allow chat etc to access cam and microphone and 2 options allow or deny. I click on allow and click on remember. Then close the box. The the screen is a white blank box apart from 2 tabs and a symbol for a screwdriver?. The first box says hide cam with a cam symbol, and the second box says stop audio with another symbol for audio?.

Thanks. What should happen after you've clicked "allow" is that you'll see your own cam feed in the box at the top right that you clicked in.

Do you see this?

OK.

Can you delete temp internet files in your chosen browser?

Then:

When you first go into chat rather than clicking the blue link, then "allow" in flash settings, try the other link at the bottom which says "(Above not working? Try here)"

And let us know what you see (or if it's just the same as the other way).

OK. If you click the toolbox icon at the right of the hide cam and audio buttons, is it set to the correct cam on the cam tab (think this is the right most tab) in Flash settings

Yes there is only 1 cam there which is Logitech120 which is the cam i use(only have one cam).

Yeh, EXACTLY the same is happening to me.

Cam fine in old and just a blank screen in new, but everyone can see my cam icon.

i use logitech quickcam express.

downloaded new adobe flash.

tried in google chrome.

nothing.

Oh and when i click on the pic of my logitech cam, i can see my video in that small window of the player settings.

But it doesn't appear in the 'Your Cam' window of the room chat.

I borrowed a laptop to test out if it worked on my wireless connection on chrome. It works fine, so i would properly say the problem is with the webcam im using, as the laptops built in webcam worked fine in the new chatroom.

I am using Apple Mac in Safari

Downloaded newest flash and latest Safari update

Chrom is only for OS10.5... mine is 10.4.1

For both cam entry points I get the flash settings screen when I click.

Just need to click allow button but whole screen is frozen

Frustrating.

Any suggestions ADMIN?

hiya all love the new chat format xx but....why ooooh why do peeps put themselves in every room !!! why oh why have we lost a normal flirt general chat room all we seen to have now are a load of rooms full of the same peeps (in every room) an the only chat the majority of the time is "get ya tits out" or "open ya legs" an "how many fingers can you get in there". we know its a swingers site not facebook but now an again a normal flirty chat is great fun an we miss it lol lol

We're having the same problem - cam works fine in old chat but just gives a white screen in new chat.

Running latest version of flash (just updated), Windows 7 Ultimate, IE8.

Everything looks like its set properly (flash options etc) but just doesn't work!

success! - i got a new logitech HD Webcam (C270 for any geeks) for xmas and the chatrooms are veiwable again. the old cam, by Trust, is now binned but it was very basic anyway, hence the new one for crimble. Hope this helps others

A few people have fixed this by plugging something into their MIC jack (the microphone socket on your pc/laptop)

No, applies to anything your PC will have a MIC in socket just stick something in (doesn't have to be a mic can be your headphones)

My cam worked fine in new chat on my laptop but on my New PC with everything updated it doesn't. So i've been only watching.

Today I went on to watch and now i'm not allowed to watch, nothing loads.

It works fine on Skype & msn here too!
