Are there any plans to switch off the old chat? I prefer the newer one, but until more people start using it, I find myself using the old version.

I realise it's a catch-22 situation, so maybe the best option is to say that on a particular date, the old one will be disabled and everyone forced to use the new one.

We'll not switch old chat off but we'll be recommending new chat as primary chat very shortly, we have one more release to do - next day or ttwo
