We pushed a new update live today:
* If you've blocked someone they can no longer view your cam... And you can no longer view theirs.
* Sorting by "who is viewing my cam" (the eye!) now works properly
* We think we've fixed a couple of bugs causing room crashes (but we still have more to chase).
We expect/hope to be making weekly or more updates to newchat over the next few weeks as we aim to bring it out of beta.

when did these updates take place?
because a couple of days ago my web cam stopped working in the new chat room, my ex had a look at it and he said it was the script in the chat room stopping my cam working, its works everywhere else and in the old chat rooms, just got me wondering if these updates have anything to do with it? |

The updates had nothing to do with the cam functionality.
Has your cam ever worked in newchat?
There is a bug in newchat which means some cams don't work in there. We are working on fixing this.

yes it was working fine in the new chat till a couple of days ago
Thats what got me wondering if it was the changes as by the looks of things my cam decided to stop on the day you updated the room
It still does work in the old chat rooms |
