I would love to see options for interests that are clean along with the naughty ones that we already have.
I know this is not facebook, but, if we could see what one another are into it would make breaking the ice and the first initial message more interesting and more chance of knowing if the person you are messaging has common ground with yourself.
Some examples that I think would be a good starting point could be things such as; Socialising, Gym, Hiking, Music, Movies, Dog Walking, Art.
I just think this option would be nice and help make our profiles a little more interesting. |

If this was match.com or harmony I could see the reasoning for that, thankfully its not or im in the wrong place
I have seen a few profiles that have listed such interests in their profile text though |

I think that gor people who like to sosilize before or after a meet that this option would be helpful and also helpful for people that are only looking for social meets or online chats/fun |

We socialise with people,we have gone out for meals with people, out for drinks, but I still don't like the idea of an interests section straight out of a dating site |

Matbe so, I have seen a few complaints from single females that all they get is messages containg sexual content, yet there is no information on their profiles to hint at what kind of content would interest them, this option could potentially eliminate this problem and for those who dislike the idea can simply not click the sellection and it will not appear on their profile, it would also highlight the profiles that appear to be looking for more than just fun, so strict swingers looking for NSF can judge to avoid or not these type of people |

I disagree, I think this site would be perfect for two singles to meet who are afraid they might struggle to meet as open minded kind of person on a average dating site,
where else better to meet someone that is open about swinging, other than a swinging site,
I can understand that as a couple you wouldn't want to take things further, but surely not every single person on the site is happy with being single all their life and would like to meet a like minded partner,
This thread is leaving off topic, there is dating site that display sexual likes and dislikes, so in that view fab is already the same, just by giving people the option to click quick interest/hobby options would not make this a dating site.
Having options such as; looking for partner, looking for friends, looking for soul mate, would make it a dating site. |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
"... surely not every single person on the site is happy with being single all their life and would like to meet a like minded partner,
"
You're probably right about this, but that can happen via the established routine of meeting for casual sex and having conversation before, after, and even during.
I don't see it as a useful selection criteria for meets, which is the primary purpose of the site.
That said, you're free to put just about anything on your profile, so feel free to include the stuff about Pina coladas and long walks on the beach.... |

the reason fabswingers is such a good site, is that its different to mainstream dating sites, in that its a swinging site, if its given everything a dating site has it will lose its individuality, I understand your point on wanting to meet someone like minded, however you have a profile with plenty of space to put this aswell as non sexual interests without trying to turn fab into a dating site. |

We can see both sides to this. A persons interest can give you a little insight into their personality. Should the option be there for people to do this, we would say yes. We would probably fill it out.
The other side to this is the anonymity that people enjoy through sites like this.
While the primary goal for this site is sex. Everyone has a different approach on how they treat it.
The bottom line is if it were an option, some would use it and some wouldn't. Just like any other profile. Some would be filled out completely while others would just have a one line message. |

Not everybody would have the choice... within a short time, it would be another filter to use - forum topics saying things like "why don't people fill this in, it only takes a minute" or "they never said they were Buddhists ", and requests for the ability to filter by interests... |
