AS a single male, have had more than a few knockbacks on this site. However, less knockbacks than mail messages I have sent. Some people just don't bother with the courtesy to say "No thanks". How about a button that appears whenever you open a mail that simply allows the reader to click and a "no thanks" response is automatically sent to the sender with very little effort from the reader.
Still won't cut out all the people who ignore messages, but am sure people would prefer this to having to write a response if they are not interested. |

Not at all. I'd hope if someone was interested, they'd be willing to offer more than "Yes please".
I mean, not as if am an ugly fook. I shave my forehead daily, clean pants on once a week whether I need them or not. |

"Would an automated no thanks actually make anyone feel better
It means as much as if you were not replied to at all"
i think it would make it 10times worse that you aren't the persons/couples type and then using the big no button will make there confidence go down |

"We can't all be attractive to each other. A simple no thanks is surely not a difficult thing to take? Better than being ignored completely."
trust me some people cant take a simple no thanks |

"Then that's what the block is for.
I'd never ignore a message, no matter who it is from. Happy to block though if pestered."

Yes, its nice to told no thanx rather than just be ignored....BUT after saying it about 56435 times, it gets bit tedious....
If the guy has taken NO NOTICE of my preferences in my profile, he deserves to be ignored just as he has ignored my wishes!!!
If he ticks all the boxes and im still not interested I will always say so....

now then cut and paste, the poor mans auto reply...lol
now an auto destruct button where the unfortunate ceases to exist for having the affront to send an unsolicited message..........magnitude better than delete and block |

I think that's the point of the original question? The fact that people DON'T take a short time to write it.
I'm all for a no thanks button.
Mindst you....theres a lot of functionality built into this site for members use....such as the wink button or invite as a friend. All controllable next to the profile you're interested at looking at....so presumably for your use. Yet how many profiles do you read, dictating to members NOT to wink, NOT to invite me as a friend, until you've messaged me and when you do message, you don't get a reply....and round and round it goes lol

I hear ya fella
but I was answering the question raised.
Should there be a function button for it?
I agreed it would be a good idea
Or pander to the disfunctional who can't be bothered |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
This question is often asked, almost always by single men - who may get 3 or 4 messages a day if they're lucky.
Some ladies get dozens of messages a dayn many of whom are incompatible with them in some way.
So who's being rude? The person sending a rubbish message, or the person not saying "thanks very much but I don't fancy you"?
