Here is a idea for the accounts, if not active within 24 days then account is deleted , or a email is sent as a reminder telling the member the account will be deleted...

"What if someone just wanted a break?"

A "suspend profile" option? Silver/Gold members only perhaps?

What would be the benefit of this suggestion? If they haven't logged on for a while then they're not bothering anyone, and in search results they appear well down the list with a message showing the last time they logged in.

Harsh! People do have lives you know and they may well have very valid reasons for not logging on in that time.

24 days isn't that long, As life takes over not everyone lives on here. I think there was a time I didn't long on for 3 months.

Yes they take up server space - but they certainly don't impact on anyone else!

That then means all those in the armed forces posted abroad would have to set up a new profile each time they came home

Newcastle and Gateshead

since when you do a search it is done by the last time they were online..... no offence how far do you need to go into search to reach profiles that were 4 weeks offline???

so use an example that is relevant to me...

I was in hospital for the best part of 2 weeks.... if i have been in longer, would you like me to log in for the sake of logging in just to keep within your new limit??????

Including those on 6 month tours...

A year, perhaps...
