In the stories and fantasies section it's common to see stories that have been pinched from other websites. There's three problems with this;
1. The posters never disclose that they are not the original authors.
1. It's illegal to reproduce someone else's copyright material without their explicit consent
2. It's immoral, and just plain wrong to pass off someone else's work as your own.
It would be great if Admin were to alter the wording of the description on the stories and fantasies section to include a warning only to post original content, rather than rip off other people's work and infringe copyright.
I note that fabswingers claims copyright on it's own material. |

And therin lies a problem. Or a few...
proving copyright
enforcing copyright
giving a shit abiut copyright
once anything is posted anywhere on the net it is basically public property. Remember that about your pics etc...and the bullshit "warning" (Sydney University) that way too many people post on the end of their profiles. |

I like the notion, as I praise originality, but think it would be hard to enforce, unless you can shop members who plagiarise, but unlike web pics, it would be hard to say for definite whether someone was the original author or not.

Sometimes the authors of the stories have put their stories up on more than one website. I used to put some of my stories on fab. Then one guy complained I had copied them from an amateur womans website. I actually knew the woman from the website and she asked me if she could put some of my stories on her website.
Although to be fiar I be some people do pass off stories as their own work. |

I only ask that admin put a warning in the stories and fantasies section not to infringe copyright. I'm not asking admin or the mods to be policemen. I believe there are still a few of us left who will report property theft when we see it. |

But how would you know that the person posting a story is not the original author?
Stories we have posted are all our own work that we have also posted on other sites. |
