Would Fab introduce a filter so you could block messages from people more than 35 miles away?
Fed up of messages from people miles and miles away it's absolutely pointless and just clogs up my inbox. |

What happens with people who are from away . . I often go to Birmingham and the north east . . seems people like myself could be at a serious disadvantage . .
Ohhh well your losses I guess . . x |

People from London (Orignally), currently in Glasgow (having set Glasgow as Location), wanting to get into touch with London folk.. would need to adjust 'present location' to avoid being blocked.
same as people travelling to Location X for a holiday, would need to set Location X as their current location in order to send any message to locals to that area.
What happens if you send a message, switch you location back to where you are.. you would not get replies

I'm looking for a regular person and not just one off experiences. I also have to have a daytime coffee social so I can see them in the flesh before deciding to spend the night with them.
I think it will be a useful filter to have. The people who don't mind meeting people from far away won't use the filter and the people who only want local people will use the filter. |

Member locations are shown alongside their username. You can see it when a message is received.
Simple solution in the absence of a filter is to put 'only looking to meet people within a 35 mile radius' - and then delete every message that comes from further east than Cardiff!

In which case hit delete. Problem solved.
Takes a second per message.
Even with 100 unwanted messages that's less than two minutes.

I'd prefer a filter as well cos sometimes the guy looks good but then you see he's miles away and for what I'm looking for I'd want a guy local enough to meet regularly. |
